Pico was my baby at Moholoholo. I went a bit overboard on the last day taking photos of him, but I honestly thought I had lost all my other photos so my camera-happy behaviour was justified, I think. When I got home I didn't want to wash my jeans as they has a distainct milky smell that reminded me so much of my bushbuck friend. The cutest thing Pico did around me was play, running away from me, then running towards me, then I would run towards him and he would run off. He even butted me a few times. Pico became friends with the baby warthogs, or learnt to tolerate them at least; on my last day at the rehab centre I was saying goodbye to Pico and the hogs came over and started nuzzling his neck and ears. He just sat there. I wish I had thought quickly enough to press the video record button on my camera. Incidentally, Pico had sharp little back molars, I had on more than one occasion been bitten (it wasn't uncommon for him to draw blood) when all he wanted to do was suck on my fingers. I have dozens of Pico pictures, if anyone wants to see more of them, get in touch.
