Morning spent with a friend of mine, hanging out and shooting around Los Angeles’ Pico-Union district. I wanted to try out my 100-200mm telephoto lens and to mess a little with some straight out of camera recipes for the camera.

Pico has few sandy beaches because of all the volcanic rock but there are lots of these cool swimming spots, many with changing areas and showers, with some conveniently located near bars.

Pico is the first one to notice anything new in the house.

The top of the Mt. Pico didn't show up completely today. On the right you see the starting point for those who feel the urge to climb to the top. We didn't have enough time for that and besides the mountain was very slippery we heard. So it was actually two steps up, one step down. The bad weather the day before had changed the mountain in a dangerous obstacle, so the officials didn't advise to go up.

Shot taken in complete backlight, which adds to the mystery.
