This Penguin was swimming from the bottom of the pool to the top and was really fast. The pool must be at least 20 feet deep and he was setting a new "water speed" record. I had no idea how fast they can swim.. Fun to watch..

The Penguin Encounter Theater at SeaWorld in Orlando is new and quite spectacular to see.. The water does run downhill like a river from one level to another and is recycled continuously. Suffice it to say - it is cold.... :)
This guy was on the highest ice level of the Penguin Encounter and was enthralled with something or someone below.. Great view for him up there..
These three little guys were fighting over something and I don't think it was food. I suspect it was territorial or dominance but that is only speculation.

Well, its a spring. A woman uses an enrichment object she chose for her group's penguin encounter, to try to draw the interest of one curious bird.
This time, Baridi, the penguin, was more interested in the people.

This past Saturday, we went to the Shedd Aquarium for the Penguin Encounter!
We even got to pet the bird, who was named "Chile" (after the country), after having been named 402. I want a penguin now.
