Pendulum "The Unseen Impact" is the theme for our first TEDxDamanhur event for 2016. This year we decided to choose topics about the backstage process which nobody knows about it, but everyone knows the final stage thinking it's easy to reach this stage. Hope you enjoy our photos.

Silver-toned bookmark with a nice red glass bead. Mark your place and meditate with the same tool. Can't remember where you left your pendulum? Check the book you're reading.

The Foucault Pendulum tends to swing on the same plane while the Earth rotates on its axis underneath it. Thus, to an observer on the Earth, the pendulum appears to gradually change its direction of swing, and in so doing it knocks over a little wooden block about once every five minutes.

“Lines S 5, S 6, and S 8 start only in Pasing due to construction works. Between pendulum east station and pasing there is circulation! Please refer to notices!”

Seems weird? The trick here is that these displays automatically start scrolling when a line is too long to be displayed all at once—even if it’s just two pixels too long. That way, you can either read “between east station and Pasing there is a shuttle service” or “between Pasing there is pendulum east station and circulation” or “between pendulum east station and pasing there is circulation” or even one of a few other combinations.

Another pendulum shot. This one without any magnets, but with both a red and a green LED. The weight of the LEDs was unbalanced, so they spun around as they swung on the pendulum.

Pendulum warm up for their Glasto performance.

The lighting was all over the place but they were super fun to shoot.
