The splash on the left looks like it has bunny ears! I'm getting a bit better at using my new macro - fun :D (btw, this is water splashing on a blue cup in my kitchen sink.)

Added to the Cream of the Crop pool as most favourited.

[ update ... like the Energizer Bunny, this little photo just won't quit - thanks flickrers! :D ]

Bendigo Chinese Garden - Golden Dragon Museum

Built to resemble the imperial gardens in Bejing, the Yi Yuan (Garden of Joy) is an oriental oasis created to capture the essence of chinese culture and life. A chinese garden is an intimate place of rest and contemplation, inspired by nature, a garden is man-made to complement the essence and beauty of nature herself. A garden is a living exhibit.

Worth Viewing BIG

Continuing on with the "Paying it Forward" idea - I went down to St. Bartholomew's church just off London Road. (Thanks for the idea Kate)

Built in 1872-1874 (Two Years?!) It was a church meant for the poor. Back in the day a family would rent a pew for a year. St. Bartholomew's has no pews, only individual chairs. There's so much more about the place worth rambling on about but I won't bore you - go in and bend an ear, they do love to chat! if not for that, then go to see the architecture, the place is stunning on the inside. (Coming from a someone who is not religious, I'd like to think it's a big compliment)

A special thanks to Ruby, Frieda and Father Vic and the others for taking time to have a chat - You'll be seeing their pictures in the coming week.

Glacier National Park, August 2006

Aside from the spectacular scenery, one of the highlights of Glacier National Park for us was the opportunity to see a lot of wildlife. We saw two bighorn sheep grazing near the trail which leads to Hidden Lake from Logan Pass. And several others off at a distance during our hike.

We also saw several mountain goats, including a few lambs on this hike. Elsewhere in the park, we saw two black bears on separate occasions, as well.

I added the border treatment to enhance the sense of the blizzard that I was out in to take this picture. I recall that the temperature that day was around -30C (-22F) but a lot colder with the wind factor added. The sun came out and made it possible to get some great shots, but the wind was blowing the snow around like crazy !

The old Mongtomery Ward building, built in 1928 on West 7th Street in Fort Worth, has recently been renovated for restaurants and specialty retail spaces on the first floor. Floors two through eight are planned as residential lofts in the near future.

these are pictures taken from my 2nd photo session with Asrul. Ive taken more than 200 shots so to pick only a few was really tough...

Asrul helped me to edit the photos last night.. there were many times when we just gasped at the photos that we produced.. I said we because in photography there are two parties involved.. the photographer and the subject..

6 months ago, I never dream of taking such photos..

Now Im taking photos that even I get chill while looking at it.. cos its just more than the photos.. its the whole process of getting there. Its the whole process of sharing artistic ideas and trying to materialize what you have in mind..

Im lucky because Asrul is artistic himself.. so he can see my visions or ideas and help me materialize it.

From this 2nd session, even though Asrul is no more shirtless, its even more sexier.. for me, anyway.. It was his straight eye contact that made my knees shake.. haha

Im loving the result very much.

The Red Fort in Delhi at night - all lit up just before the sound and light show that takes us through the life of the fort, and parallelly the life of Mughal Delhi over the last few centuries... Built of sandstone (which gives it the name) by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan between 1638 and 1648, the Red Fort today plays host to the Prime Minister and the national flag on Indepedence day...

I couldn't see much of the fort since it was shut by the time we reached - so detailed photographs will have to wait till I make the next trip to Delhi... But here is more on the beautiful fort from the ever-dependable wikipedia...

Thank you all !!

Entrance of the Castle

The Château d’Havré, long left in a state of ruin, owes its resurrection to a few enthusiasts determined to restore a monument that forms part of the history of the great families of Hainault, in particular that of the de Croÿs. It was this family that made the Château d’Havré the seat of a duchy.

Today is gloomy and damp as anything. So, lets go back in time...

I received the most gorgeous pouch and goodies from Kerry!!

She also sent me this amazingly cute pincushion as part of the pay it forward game. I feel quite spoiled!

Thank you so much Kerry I'm running short of exclamation marks to express my love and gratitude for these fantastic gifts!

{oh and unfortunately the chocolate refused to wait for it's close-up...such a diva lol!}

A fledgling that wandered over to our campsite during a recent visit to Lake Ray Roberts in North Texas....

He was covered with ants and chirping in pain and so we picked him up and cleaned all the ants off him. I have read an article recently that said that moving a fledgling out of danger is a good thing to do.....so we relocated him to some deep grass.

I hope you'll view this at the larger size where you can see the detail much better.....

Taken at Ferry Beach in Scarborough, Maine.

Just realized I'm going in to my tenth year of free public art projects. Since 2005 I've been leaving FREE works of art in public places throughout southwest Michigan. These works of art are typically drawings and paintings done on cardboard or scrap paper. Anyone who finds the art is encouraged to take it home and enjoy.

Over time, I've received emails from individuals all over the world offering to place my art in their neighborhoods. Thanks to the generosity of these individuals my art has been seen on the streets of Israel, Iran, Austria, Brazil, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Northern Ireland and England. Below are photos of some of the recipients.

Special thanks to various photographers for taking photos of the recipients: Dogtired, My Dog Sighs, Korp, Rex Dingler, Bonus Saves, Herbert Gundran.. apologies to anyone I forgot.
