...actually she's a Belted Galloway. I don't know why some of my images are making me think of food lately...:-)))
She was on the hills alongside Buttermere in the Lakes.

Besides just loving Oreos, I really like the interesting pattern on the cookies.
Note that no cookies were actually eaten for this assignment. Still on my healthy eating plan. Getting close to my goal! It was tough on me to not eat any of my props.
Another photo from my Oreo Cookie photo shoot.
From Wikipedia - Oreo is a sandwich cookie consisting of two chocolate wafers with a sweet creme filling in between, and (as of 1974) are marketed as "Chocolate Sandwich Cookies" on the package in which they are held. The version currently sold in the United States is made by the Nabisco division of Mondelēz International. Oreo has become the best-selling cookie in the United States since its introduction in 1912
A co-worker's horse - so gentle and dear. She welcomed us to her farm where we enjoyed Barn Swallows and their fledglings ...and plenty of other farm animals.
I came into the kitchen and Oreo Robin William just had to say hello.

Oh I really wanted to make milk splashes to go along with my falling Oreos but it was too windy outside to set up and I didn't want to have to clean up milk. Some day what I envision I will create but I need to take baby steps to get there. Played with my flash again today and a bit of Photoshop and snap, done for the day.
This was a new location for us San Leandro Marina. There were quite a few birds to see but most of them were out of camera distance. This duck is referred to as an "Oreo duck." You know, those diving ducks that are black on the ends and white in the middle. This Male Scaup was in one of the smaller tributaries which allowed us to get up close and personal shots of him. It was a joy to see the males and females swimming and diving as they played together.
Taking pictures is like tiptoeing into the kitchen late at night and stealing Oreo cookies.

Let's start this week off on a gentle note, shall we? No doubt it will get crazy soon enough...
I know, they're not Oreos. They're Belted Galloway cows. But they remind me of Oreo cookies.
This was a fun painting. There is a pasture I drive by on my way into town and sometimes they have some of these cows there.
Last time I saw them I thought, hey!, those cows would be a cool thing to put into a painting. I've always liked the way they look.
So, here they are! I've been working on this painting for a while and I'm calling it done now.
It's 24 x 18 acrylics on stretched canvas, from imagination.

True American History, Chelsea Market. constructed in the 1890s and was originally the site of the National Biscuit Company (Nabisco) factory complex where the Oreo cookie was invented and produced, as well as Ring dings. They say some of the pipes in the old factory sill have the filler..

I never really thought about it much until a friend mentioned it, but the Black and White Warbler really does look like an Oreo Cookie! I love the coloration on the males in the spring, as it is really striking. This image is a variant of the B&W warbler image that I posted a few days ago, A bit different perspective and pose on the bird. Gotta love the Black and White Warbler!
It is Wednesday and the Weekend is getting closer! Enjoy the evening.
