The '800" Divisions are made up of rating candidates for Specal Warfare Operator (SO), Special Warfare Boat Operator (SB), Navy Diver (ND), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and rescue swimmers. It is part of the Navy and Special Warfare Command (SPECWARCOM) initiative to grow the ranks of SEALS, littoral and riverboat squadrons, dive units and EOD detachments. Exercise MAPLE STRIKE is a national exercise for Forward Air Controllers (FACs). This is a joint army and air force exercise, taking place from September 24th - October 5th.

 

EX MAPLE STRIKE is a live fire round of attacks on four targets located at Canadian Forces Training Area. This joint exercise involves 408 Tactical Helicopter squadron, F-18 Hornet aircraft from 1 Air Movement Squadron (1AMS) and live mortar attacks from the ground crew.
