This year, we will bring the world's top innovators, hackers and experts together with our amazing developer community in London to learn and share skills, gain insights and drive innovation. The FullStack 2015 will kick off with two days of talks and discussions over 4 tracks each day covering JavaScript, Node, hackable electronics and other topics you may tell us you wish to see.
Each track will feature talks by some of the world's top hackers and makers who are helping evolve technologies and practices in the exciting world of web, mobile, servers, drones and robots. In addition, each track will feature a Park Bench Panel discussion and 5 lightning talks by some of the great engineering teams in our community who use FullStack technologies and practices daily and will demo their projects.
Following two days of talks, we'll continue with a Saturday featuring hands-on Tutorials, so that you can gain some hands-on experience and practical skills to implement new ideas from the talks you attended and the people you met during the first 2 days!

This image was scanned from an item in the Williamson Collection of some 450 photographic glass slides and other items, which was acquired by the archives section of the Auchmuty Library. The collection was assembled by Archdeacon A. N. Williamson, who served for many years in the Diocese of Newcastle, as well as travelling extensively in the South Pacific area. The collection vividly portrays town and country life in Australia, particularly in Sydney and the Hunter Valley, soon after the turn of the century. The collection also illustrates life in Japan, Papua New Guinea, Nauru and Fiji, from the turn of the century until the mid-1930s.

Introduced warm-season annual or short-lived perennial tufted or stolon-forming C4 grass to 120 cm tall. Nodes are dark coloured and the basal leaf sheaths are paler than the blades. Flowerheads are digitate, with 7-19 branches that are erect and 3-7 cm long. Spikelets are pale green when young, black at maturity, blunt at their apex and 2-flowered; lower floret is fertile and its lemma has hairy margins; upper floret is reduced to a lemma; awns are longer than the spikelet. Germinates in summer and flowers in summer and autumn. A native of America, it is found in disturbed areas,such as roadsides, yards, creek banks and cultivated paddocks. Very sensitive to frost, fire and flooding. An indicator of disturbance or high fertility or both. A pioneer species which quickly occupies disturbed areas; it is a weed of roadsides, railways, disturbed sites and cropping. Tolerant of many herbicides used in roadside spraying and cropping (especially a problem for zero-till farming). Provides ground cover on shallow compacted soils where little else will grow. Moderately palatable when young but ignored as it matures; it is of little use for grazing because it has a short summer to early autumn growing season and only grows in disturbed areas with poor ground cover. Mostly relies on seeding to persist.
E/V Nautilus worked with Wave Venture to recover the third cable between Mothra and the Endeavour node. Nodes convert high voltage supplied from shore via backbone cables down to the level needed by junction boxes and instruments deployed across the observatory network.

Re-Entry of Shuttle STS79 over southern Alberta, September 26, 1996 at dawn. © 1996 Alan Dyer
These are shots (on film) from a previous "descending node" re-entry of the Space Shuttle, of STS79 Atlantis on the morning of September 26, 1996. The Shuttle was returning with Shannon Lucid from the Mir space Station. Atlantis flew directly over southern Alberta, Canada in the pre-dawn sky, under similar circumstances to Monday's (or possibly Tuesday's, if they wave off for a day) planned re-entry. The Shuttle itself appeared as a brilliant pink star (blurred in photo #1 and #2 into a pink streak). It left behind a greenish plasma trail that lingered for many minutes, recorded in photo #3 and #4. In all, a spectacular sight. And sound! A sonic boom was heard. Descending node entries are very rare, but unfortunately, we saw nothing of the STS131 re-entry on April 20, 2010 as the flight path took it too far south and in broad daylight.
