Humpback Whale Breach sequence shot 5. After getting it’s entire body out of the water, this large animal falls back into the ocean. I love this sideways position and joy of movement! Check out my reels to see a 30 sec video of this sequence.
Gotta send props to Stuart @questforwildlife and Stan @stan_novotny_wildlife for this amazing three day photography clinic!

We were hit by a Bomb Cyclone yesterday and today (with another coming Friday and yet another next week). It was a crazy night: trees down, power outages, we lost part of our fence, others had trees come down on houses or cars, roads closed, and just a mess overall. This was the loudest wind I have ever experienced. Howling, whistling, even my rock solid house felt drafty. We were lucky to have a wood stove for heat, propane for cooking, and our household together keeping warm. Nikki was a bit freaked out. I managed to brave some of the wind today to catch some waves.

Heading back to the many photos I still haven’t edited from the Eagle show last month. These sea lions are always a joy to photograph- especially when their eyes show and they swim side by side!
