The Re-ment Addicts Group did a Color Theme Challenge quite some time ago, but I didn't have time to do it. I was inspired by all of the great photos they did, so now that I have a lot of time on my hands, I decided it would be fun to do. I am going to do the whole rainbow, and probably post way more photos than I should!

It's a raindrop refracting a very abstract world in Palm Desert, CA.

I made these for my mom recently and now that they were delivered to her I want to show everyone! The record player was made from a tutorial from MyFroggyStuff on youtube. If you don't know here and are interested in making cute doll things you should really check her out! Here's a link to the record player: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri6Kg6KmTXQ&t=105s

As for the records I found a template of them on Etsy from Michaelins.

The big one is a Novelty AM Radio, that works with batteries. The little one is a vintage wind up toy made in Japan. The disc really spins.

Patzcuaro cemetery in Mexico, Michoacan, is getting ready for the celebration of the Day of the dead. I came across this little boy, while he was working late afternoon on the family grave. In the back, smoke is rising from the burning of dried flowers.

Miniature Challenge

I don't often get into the city, so when I had a chance I thought..."hmmm ODC is mini-stuff today and I haven't done a tilt-shift in a long while." So here's a few miniature tilt-shifts from Melbourne.

They don't look any bigger in LARGE view ... but take a look anyways.

Miniature pottery vase by Retsis Bros. of Greece

Got organized last weekend. Instead of having the re-ment together in their sets, everything is grouped with similar items. It makes everything so much easier to find. I still have the boxes if there is something I want to sell.

This is the inside of the miniature movie theater I built based

on a small town deco movie house. I had to take out the seats for the sequence I was photographing which gave it an even more surreal feeling.

Botanical Name: Ananas nanas

Common Name: Miniature Pineapple

Family: Bromeliaceae

Origin: Brazil

Nanus: The name means baby. This ornamental miniature pineapple are 1.5 to 2 inch in size,

come quickly and often, and grow to look exactly like the supermarket kind but super tiny. This flower is on the end of a long

stem that permits its use as a cut flower in arrangements. Its small size makes it good as a housplant. Spiny, but tolerable.

Public domain picture, feel free to use, modify, etc. If you would like to credit, a mention of www.babiafi.co.uk would be fab. :)

I've been sculpting with lots of passion this month, and corals are my latest obsession :)

I love working on colors and texture so these are perfect for my cravings :)

This is a photo of a miniature Phalenopsis orchid.

Phalaenopsis, known as moth orchids, abbreviated Phal in the horticultural trade, is an orchid genus of approximately 60 species. Phalaenopsis is one of the most popular orchids in the trade, through the development of many artificial hybrids. It is native to southern China, Taiwan, the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, New Guinea, the Bismarck Archipelago, and Queensland.

I got into miniature painting just before 3rd edition of Warhammer 40K, meaning, around 93 perhaps? I have an old receipt which states I bought Space Marine (EPIC) in early 94, and that's what I collected the most of. Stopped in around 97 when it got too expensive, but I'm sure some will laugh at the idea of '97 GW being expensive compared to today...

Here's some of my 28mm figs though, the half painted ones which I've kept stowed away in misc boxes and really needed another storage solution for. Couldn't fit 'em all though. I keep my painted ones in a fancy glass cabinet.

Most of them are Eldar, and like a fool I decided to paint the entire army in bone and black, effectively ruining the visual identity of the figures and making everything (Aspect Warriors, Guardians) look samey. Fortunately no thick coats, so maybe I can just shoot a new basecoat on top with my airbrush.

Also seen, SoB, Space Marines (misc chapters), Necromunda Escher, someOrks I might use for Gorkamorka due to low count, random Dark Elves, Mutant Chronicles, Micro Macines used for Combat Cars.

Might be able to fill another three slabs with stuff I'm probably never gonna paint.
