Seems unlikely, but for anyone who might not be familiar with it, Lincoln Road on Miami Beach is a pedestrian road, that runs more or less from the beach side Collins Avenue to Alton Road, where traffic going East West is cut off. The mall itself is a high foot traffic area with shops and restaurants. Through the middle of the mall there are a series of architectural shade structures and follies, which if memory and a quick google search serves correctly were designed by the architect Morris Lapidus in the 1950s. Mostly in Miami Modern (MiMo) style. This is one of the structures, which acts as an excellent shade and visual device.

Designed by architect Robert Swartburg, the Delano was built in 1947 by Rob and Rose Schwartz. The hotel was originally utilized for military housing. The then four-winged Art Deco tower of the Delano was the tallest building in Miami. The 1994 renovations were designed by Philippe Starck.[3] The hotel is named after US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt.
