Messier 33, also known as the Triangulum Galaxy, is the third-largest galaxy in the Local Group, following the Andromeda Galaxy and the Milky Way.
M33 was one of the first objects I photographed three years ago. Due to its brightness, I took advantage of a moonless evening to capture it.
A female grizzly bear sitting in shoulder deep water seems to be inspecting her messy salmon catch, Chilko Lake, British Columbia.

Just another addition from last weekend's macro fun......
Too hot for anything else.....
Didn't see the "facial crumbs" or whatever it was until I processed/enlarged the image.....
Ya never know what'll turn up in the world of insects.....
Have a great Wednesday !
Thanks for stoppin' by........
The Dumbbell Nebula is a planetary nebula in the constellation Vulpecula, at a distance of about 1360 light-years. This is at a declination of +23 which is about at my limit for imaging from backyard.
129×30″ unguided from suburbia.

The arrangement of the spiral arms in the galaxy Messier 63, seen here in a new image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, recall the pattern at the centre of a sunflower. So the nickname for this cosmic object — the Sunflower Galaxy — is no coincidence. Discovered by Pierre Mechain in 1779, the galaxy later made it as the 63rd entry into fellow French astronomer Charles Messier’s famous catalogue, published in 1781. The two astronomers spotted the Sunflower Galaxy’s glow in the small, northern constellation Canes Venatici (the Hunting Dogs). We now know this galaxy is about 27 million light-years away and belongs to the M51 Group — a group of galaxies, named after its brightest member, Messier 51, another spiral-shaped galaxy dubbed the Whirlpool Galaxy. Galactic arms, sunflowers and whirlpools are only a few examples of nature’s apparent preference for spirals. For galaxies like Messier 63 the winding arms shine bright because of the presence of recently formed, blue–white giant stars, readily seen in this Hubble image.
i like the messiness in this image: slight tilt at the horizon, hydrangea leaves splayed across the frame, blurred reflection in the ice. it feels both messy and hopeful; complicated and happy. and in this way, it reminds me of life: life is messy, rich, and beautiful. it all depends on how we see.

Messier 81, NGC 3031 or Bode's Galaxy, is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Ursa Major and lies around 11.6 million light years distant.
Processed using RGB data form a previous session using my 190mm MN and data captured in April 2021 using my TS 8inch RCCF and QHY163M. The 3hrs30min luminance data was combined with the 7hrs RGB and Processed using RegiStar, Pixinsight and Photoshop.
Hoping to do this again with my new 150mm Esprit and this time collect Ha data which should make a big difference.

Messier 45, Pleiades or, from my childhood days, The Seven Sisters.
At 444 lightyears from earth they are probably the best open star cluster in the sky. The bright young hot stars are thought to be passing through a dust cloud thus creating reflection nebulae. The clustering will eventually be lost due to local gravitational interactions.
