Animazione multisensoriale che, attraverso la rielaborazione dell’opera di Giotto e dei suoi contemporanei, proietterà sulla facciata della chiesa di Stella Maris di Milano Marittima i più emozionanti momenti del Natale.
La scena si apre con l’Annunciazione, quando l’Arcangelo Gabriele si recò a casa di Maria, a Nazareth, per predirle il concepimento del Figlio di Dio.
Avvicinandosi il momento della nascita, la buona novella si diffuse grazie alla stella cometa, che con la sua luce annunciò a tre sapienti sacerdoti, i Magi, l’arrivo del Salvatore, Re dei Giudei. I tre intrapresero così, dal lontano Oriente in cui erano i loro regni, un lungo viaggio alla ricerca del prodigioso bambino: il Messia.
Condotti dalla stella cometa fino a Gerusalemme, capitale della Giudea, i Magi si recarono dall’allora reggente, Erode il Grande, e gli chiesero dove potessero trovare il Re dei Giudei. Erode, indispettito per non essere stato considerato egli stesso Re dei Giudei, chiese loro con l’inganno di cercare per lui il bimbo appena nato, così da poterlo anch’egli adorare, meditando così l’attuazione della strage degli innocenti.
Dalla città di Gerusalemme il viaggio dei Magi, guidati dalla cometa, continuò fino alla cittadina di Betlemme, dove finalmente poterono adorare e offrire doni al Figlio di Dio appena nato, messaggio di pace e di fratellanza.

Twilight at the Museums was a projection mapping installation created for the facade of the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. The piece celebrated the collections of the major museums in Cambridge.

Six countries represented. Medieval relic book as reference. Paintings of woman in traditional dress inhabiting the map of the country they were attacked in. Folded boats of information taken from online articles where women described how violence affected them.
Mom and stepdad touristing around amsterdam, blatantly ignoring the fact that they have a gps navigator in the bag. "Uses too many batteries" they said and promptly got lost.
Auburn University forestry researcher John Gilbert recently created an instructional booklet, “Mapping Your Land: An Overview for Landowners,” to help landowners use five online mapping program. It allows landowners to utilize maps, aerial photography, topographic layers, soils information, data collected with GPS units and even a visual simulation, such as adding images of trees on open fields.

In our synthesis, we have concentrated on finding the place for each activity in the Park where it is possible to let the surrounding nature dominate over the activity. In the establishment phase, many priorities have to be made, due to a lack of funding.
When establishing an activity, it is critical to measure the correct size against other activities, even those planned to come in a later phase. Also, it is in line with the total concept of the Entoto Natural Park to profile the activities from the very beginning.
Every activity should be of high quality. For example, creating a wedding park does not mean that it should be in the style of other wedding parks in Addis Ababa.
A bird eye's perspective of the park (Annex 1) illustrates our suggestions for the location of the activities, that were agreed upon at the Park Committee meetings.
The spatial distribution is a result of the analysis of criteria for location and from the synthesis.
Description of Main Attraction Points
Data on the existing attraction points, which we had asked about, were collected by Napoleon Tsegaye in October 1994, who kindly made an interview in Amharic with his grandfather,
Ato Gebre Kidane Wibishet, native to the area.
Geographical Situation
Addis Ababa is situated 9° north of the equator, in central Ethiopia. The park area, on the mountain of Entoto, extends from the northern edge of the city, at an altitude of 2 600m and further north over the mountain crest at almost 3 100 m.
From several spots, there is splendid outlook over the sprawling city and the five high solitary mountains, in the southwest to the southeast (Menagesha, Wachecha, Furi Zukuala and Yerer).
Facing north from the top ridge, one looks out over vast plains, towards Sululta and some bare mountains. The mountain ridge on which the Park is located constitutes a big water divider.
The northern slope drains into the Blue Nile, and the precipitation from the southern slope will end up in the Awash river.
This has the curious result that two raindrops falling at the same time just a few centimetres apart, will have quite different destinies: one will after a long journey reach the Mediterranean Sea, whereas the other will pass through the city of Addis Ababa, eventually evaporating in the Danakil Desert, as the Awash River never reaches the sea (Håkan Blanck and Pia Englund, Entoto Natural Park 1995).

Projection Mapping is a technique for manipulating video to create illusions of deconstruction and redefinition of physical shapes, by moving away from traditional flat projection surfaces. This workshop serves as a comprehensive introduction to methods for creating projection mapping for beginners. Students will learn how to make animation using Modul8, and how to map the three-dimensional surface using Madmapper.
All photos in this album were taken during a sailing passage from Iceland to Scotland via the Faroe Islands arranged by Rubicon 3. Sailing took place on Bluejay a Clipper 60 race boat. The Captain was Patrick Van der Zijden and the First Mate was Alex Booth. Including myself there were eight crew members.
