This is one of the lunar phases I like, because I can see the details of the craters and mountains, unlike seeing the moon when its full. There is just enough side light that brings out those details, especially where the edge of night meets the edge of daylight.
The Moon today is in a Waning Gibbous Phase. This is the first phase after the Full Moon occurs. It lasts roughly 7 days with the Moon's illumination growing smaller each day until the Moon becomes a Last Quarter Moon with a illumination of 50%.
A double exposure on the (nearly full) moon to get this composition of the moon shining bright above the night clouds.
Of all my photos of the moon this is my favorite. Looking back after a while I realize I’ve overdone it a bit in the edit, but I’m still glad that I captured these multiple exposures to create this image.

I had to take the dogs for a walk up here this evening too ッ
There wasn't much of a sunset tonight, but an
atmospheric haze coming over the island after a really warm day. Over 30 degrees C in the shadow, not normal in Norway.
I have more cute dog images here:

“The moon is a loyal companion.
It never leaves. It’s always there, watching, steadfast, knowing us in our light and dark moments, changing forever just as we do. Every day it’s a different version of itself. Sometimes weak and wan, sometimes strong and full of light. The moon understands what it means to be human.
Uncertain. Alone. Cratered by imperfections.” ― Tahereh Mafi, Shatter Me

A composite image capturing the complete progression of a total lunar eclipse over a dramatic desert canyon landscape. The sequence shows the moon's transformation from its bright golden phase through the spectacular deep red "blood moon" totality and back to its normal silvery appearance. Set against the rugged terrain of what appears to be a southwestern desert canyon, this time-lapse composite beautifully illustrates the celestial dance between Earth, Moon, and Sun. The warm earth tones of the rocky landscape provide a stunning contrast to the cool night sky and the various phases of the eclipsed moon.

The clouds didn't get as pink and beautiful tonight as yesterday and other recent evenings, but there's always a nice mood at the beaches of Jæren when the sun sets anyway. Today the sun was beautiful and red right before it disappeared.
