🇪🇸 Tengo una gran pasión por el dibujo y lo practico desde pequeña. Estaba estudiando en la Escuela de arte de San Telmo y paré mis estudios para empezar una aventura que consistía en un viaje. Todo tenía muy buena pinta, estaba promovido por una cadena de televisión que captó a una amiga mía que es 'youtuber', a través de su canal de youtube le propusieron grabar unos cortos por diferentes países.. Empezamos esta aventura con la intención de ganar dinero, así mismo lo hicieron otros 'youtubers' españoles reconocidos y todo resultó ser una estafa. Nos encontramos atrapadas en Paris, solas y sin pasta. Entonces se me ocurrió dibujar y vender mis dibujos en la calle, de esa manera conseguimos algo de dinero y nos fuimos a Londres, allí me acogió una amiga que tenía casa. Cuando paseaba por las calles de Londres, siempre llevaba mis bocetos y conocí una chica que me dio la oportunidad de aprender a tatuar. Acabé compartiendo piso con ella y me dejó una de sus viejas herramientas para tatuar. Mi aventura ha terminado por ser una decisión y una oportunidad de hacer lo que realmente me gusta. Soy una persona impulsiva 'Decido y hago'. Lo más importante para mi es tener la libertad de hacer lo que me gusta. Me llamo Miriam y nací en Málaga hace 20 años.

🇬🇧 I have a great passion for drawing and practice since childhood. I was studying at the School of Art of San Telmo and stopped my studies to begin an affair that consisted of a trip. Everything looked very nice, was promoted by a TV station that captured a friend of mine, she is 'youtuber', through his youtube channel, they will proposed to record some short video by different countries.. We started this adventure with the intention of making money, likewise did other 'youtubers' renowned in Spain and everything turned out to be a scam. We were trapped in Paris, alone and without money. Then it occurred to me to draw and sell my drawings on the street, that way we got some money and we went to London, there I had a friend who welcomed to his home. When walking through the streets of London, always I wore my sketches and I met a girl who gave me the opportunity to learn how to tattoo. I ended up sharing a flat with her and left me one of his old tools for tattooing. My adventure has come to be a decision and an opportunity to do what I really like. I am an impulsive person 'decide and do.' The most important thing for me is having the freedom to do what I like. My name is Miriam and I was born in Malaga 20 years ago.

Lo stile del Palazzo Civico è il gotico aragonese, che era molto diffuso in Sardegna tra il XIV e il XV secolo. Il suo aspetto più caratteristico è, comunque, la presenza rilevante di motivi floreali, tipica del liberty. L'edificio occupa un'area di 2400 metri quadri. Nei quattro angoli delle due torrette centrali ottagonali sono scolpiti i leggendari mori bendati della bandiera sarda. In due nicchie laterali ci sono le statue di Vittorio Amedeo II, primo Re di Sardegna, e di Vittorio Emanuele II, primo Re d'Italia. Le statue che si affacciano dai tre angoli ( via Roma, Largo Carlo Felice e via Angioi ) sono state realizzate dallo scultore Andrea Valli a ricordo delle dominazioni romana, spagnola e pisana. Agli angoli superiori delle altre facciate ( via Angioi, via Crispi, Largo Carlo Felice ) tre statue in bronzo raffiguranti l'agricoltura, l'industria e il commercio.
Al suo interno presenta una notevole collezione di artisti sardi del '900

"Rebekah Brooks must go" chant protesters at News International HQ - London 08.07.2011
'Class War' anarchist Ian Bone mockingly offers a bribe to bemused-but-self-conscious police outside News International in Wapping
A small-but-dedicated group of protesters descended on the London headquarters of News International in Wapping the day after Rupert Murdoch's News International announced that they were closing down the troubled News of The World newspaper after this coming Sunday's final edition, as their piecemeal response to the phone-hacking scandal which has spectacularly exposed the fact that not only were News of The World (NoTW) journalists at one time commissioning private investigators to obtain thousands of people's mobile phone numbers so their messages and conversations could be spied on, ranging from celebrities, politicians, murdered children and grieving military families to name but a few, but that the NoTW had also been making illegal payments to members of the Metropolitan Police Force to obtain confidential information on the paper's intended victims.
The protesters kept the assembled journalists, photographers and news crews entertained with several light-hearted stunts including waving £10 and £20 notes at the police who had arrived and asking them for confidential information, the handing out of satirical £55 Bank of Wapping banknotes, and handing round Fox's biscuits - a dig at Fox News in the USA.
The activists also demanded an immediate stop to News International's ongoing bid to take 100% ownership of satellite TV company BSkyB. This with came true yesterday after News International announced they were dropping the bid.
Also protesting were several ex-journalists and print-workers who had suffered under Rupert Murdoch's ruthless war with the old Fleet Street print unions in the early 1980's. Others were there to show their disgust at the behaviour of Rupert Murdoch and his family, the destruction of old-style investigative reporting in the print media, and the loss of their pension schemes which happened when a previous Conservative government legislated to allow corporations to raid their employees' pension funds - an exercise in sheer corporate malice which started when the late Robert Maxwell stole the Daily Mirror employees pension fund.

Por lo regular las mujeres se maquillan desde la antigüedad, de diferentes maneras y con diferentes artilugios, pero en el fondo siempre surge la misma idea, ser más atractivas mejorando el aspecto externo. El maquillaje ha tenido un origen religioso, mágico y funerario.
La mujer de la edad de piedra se hacía en la cara manchones de barro de color (posiblemente rojo); los productos de que disponía eran limitados, prácticamente a la arcilla, tierras de pigmentos colorantes o toscos productos elaborados a partir de grasas animales, ya que el aceite más antiguo que se conoce estaba compuesto de sulfuro de antimonio.
El lápiz de labios se conoce desde 3000 años a.c.; se hacía una pasta con polvos rojos, esencia de rosas y aceite de sésamo, los peinados, las pelucas, los baños de leche, las estilizadas siluetas, todo formaba parte de una cultura en la que lo espiritual, el arte, la religión y la ciencia tenían una importancia fundamental. Especial atención merecían el cabello, la piel y los ojos.
El cabello se teñía con henna, consiguiendo mil matices encarnados o bien se rasuraba completamente para facilitar los continuos cambios de pelucas, sumamente sofisticadas. Los ojos se remarcaban en negro, engrandeciendo y suavizando su forma natural y se maquillaban en tonos turquesas o azules que obtenían a base de mezclar tierra, cenizas y tinta.
Las cejas estaban depiladas y maquilladas gruesas y de un negro intenso, que eran tan largas que se escondían por debajo de las pelucas, las pestañas; se ennegrecían utilizando una mezcla de huevos de hormigas y moscas machacadas, el carmín de los labios, el blanco para restar color a la cara, el rojo-naranja para las mejillas, era productos extraídos de plantas y arbustos.
La época dorada de la cosmética se inicia con las más sofisticadas cremas, esencias y aguas, los polvos se usaban con generosidad; para las pelucas, harina de trigo y para la cara, harina de arroz.
En los inicios del siglo XIX, surge el primer intento de eliminar las arrugas a base de un invento mortificador al que llamaban el "esmaltado de la cara" que consistía en lavar primero la cara con un líquido alcalino, después se extendía una pasta para rellenar las arrugas y encima se colocaba una capa de esmalte hecha con arsénico y plomo, la cual duraba aproximadamente un año.
Básicamente el maquillaje era usado para las mujeres de mayor edad, las cuales querían esconder manchas y arrugas, no para la mujeres jóvenes, las cuales actualmente utilizan el maquillaje de forma cotidiana, maltratando de forma muy ruda la piel del rostro, llegando a la exageración y degeneración de la piel.

On Saturday afternoon I met up with my friend and Flickr contact Mathieu (Lo Scorpione), who is currently visiting Cape Town on business.
When I noticed the warm and windless weather conditions on Saturday morning, I called Mathieu and suggested that we meet at the tidal pool in Camps Bay to shoot some reflections of Table Mountain and the 12 Apostles. There wasn’t a cloud in sight when I made the suggestion… but I knew that even without any clouds… the tidal pool would still be a great location for a sunset photoshoot.
Well… I didn’t manage to capture any award winning shots (heh heh, that’s nothing new)... but I did manage to capture a couple of rather nice photos of Mathieu in action.
