Eagle Balder crude oil shuttle tanker outbound for sea after departing Tranmere Oil Terminal
Eagle Balder is one of the world's first LNG dual-fuel dynamic positioning shuttle tankers (DPSTs) alongside Eagle Blane.
Quoted - "Powered using liquified natural gas (LNG) as primary fuel, the LNG Dual-Fuel Dynamic Positioning Shuttle Tankers (DPSTs) will also be able to capture 100% of the harmful Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) which escape into the air from crude oil cargoes during loading and voyage for reuse as a supplementary fuel.
Utilising a more efficient system for dynamic positioning (the activity of ensuring the vessel remains stationary above a specified area of seabed while loading oil at sea), combined with the LNG Dual-Fuelling and VOC Recovery Systems, these vessels will save up to an estimated 3,000 tonnes fuel per year compared with conventional DPSTs of the same size."

More silliness, I'm afraid. Just discovered the liquify tool in Photoshop - what fun!
Can't take credit for the fabulous background, which was one of several featured at www.solarvoyager.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=6615&g... (there are tutorials there too - maybe I'll try some of those out some day).

Word came that Q196 would be coming out of Stevens Point with the CNW 1 fuel tender as the lead car. Sadly, the light was disappearing very rapidly which was the 'lemon' in my plan to catch...
My project would be so boring sometimes without Joey. I had a nice, boring, faceless photo all ready last night, and then he said, "You can't post that, it's boring!" He was right, but I was OK with boring. So he started making funny faces, and then grabbed his watch, and made more funny faces. Once he was satisfied, I put the camera down so I could actually read the book, and he said, "You know what you should do? Make my head all stretchy so it looks like I'm being sucked away!" Or something along those lines.
If the boy knew anything about Photoshop, he'd be making some crazy stuff. :)
Not sure I exactly like how this came out, but I like the concept. Need to work with the liquify tool more to get used to it. Suggestions? I love constructive criticism! :)
Confession - I hated the first 50-100 pages of this book. It's so sappy. Blah. But I've gotten past it and I'm interested again. We'll see if I make it through. :)

My apologies to Soupy for the distorted effect of this lens at 14mm, even though she still looks good. ;)
Just trying to see if I can make this Mattel doll look like Ariel using Photoshop, I sorta succeed, I think, I used some Liquify brush and whitening effect, when you pressed on the eye of the doll, it became obvious that they printed the eye too low
Lots of liquify tool in this one. I was stretching this image all over the place.
Notice the nice tan I received while on vacation. :)

Practicing my liquify, I'm a bit of a fan of 1970's big eyed kids paintings, so giving it a whirl.

My word was Iphone. At first I didn't really know what to do with my word, so I just took a picture with a girl holding an Iphone and decided to go from there. After looking at my pictures to make it look like one of those 'Teens are on the screens to much' things. So what I ended up doing was highlighting the fact she had her nose caught up in the screen. Since most teens these days can't live without their phone, my interpretation took flight from the phone-obsessed world these days.
I used a total of three photoshop tools. In order to get the point across I decided to emphasize the apple, which is the Iphone's logo, and the actual word on the bottom that says "Iphone" I used the liquify tool in order to accomplish this. Another tool I used was the healing brush to clear up any marks on her face, such as acne or red marks. Finally, to finalize the photo and give it the phone that "glow" I was looking for, I used the gradient tool with levels. What I learned with this, was basically what looks good and what doesn't look good based upon trial and error and experimenting with the tools. Although I did use tools that I had previous knowledge of, it was still a learning process with the levels and where to it to get the right color. All in all, thanks to the these tools my interpretation of Iphone came across.
