Busy, busy, busy getting ready for a craft show in July. The stitching on the pods happened by accident: the fine lines didn't show up like I wanted them to so I decided to stitch a little. Blogged here.

The brief was to experiment with different techniques, choosing my favourite one to produce a two metre length of printed textiles. This is an experimental piece that i did in my sketchbook using lino print. I experimented with it on to several different papers.

I made this notecard design as a lino print and mixed gouache with the block printing ink to get the colour I wanted, but it made the ink very sticky. These are drying on the floor of the annex/veranda/craft room.

My beautiful Chris Bourke print that arrived in the post the other day.

hand printed using lino blocks, it's number 25 of 100 made.

new lino print for cards

To promote public transport in my area in the run-up to our local council elections, Suraya Sidhu Singh of New Plymouth, New Zealand created these linoprints. Members of the I Love Public Transport Taranaki group donated money to have them printed and put up around town.

I give these images away under a Creative Commons license which allows them to be used non-commercially in ways that promote public transport. If you'd like to do your own poster campaign in your own area, or print copies or merch to raise funds for pro-public transport campaigning, or use them in blogs or other materials, please do. Absolutely no commercial uses allowed.

The design is based on many old key designed from past centuries. The section for the 'lock' is heart shaped. This design is designed to be a subtle invocation of love.

'the ruin' is a real house on a Scottish Island. The house has ben ovingly restored so the crack is a feature. A beautiful image for any occasion, but witty used as a new home card.

Inside the barns. Purbeck Valley Festival is on a farm yard and the barns are used for bars and stages - very handy when you get a wet weekend! They were decorated and the Big Barn had a craft shop and a gallery of Philip Kingsbury's superb lino prints. From a collection of photographs taken at the 2015 Purbeck Folk Valley Festival
