More linocuts. Red layer first, then black for the two-colour prints. (black = ocaldo, red = speedball)
Happier with the results than for gold on black for the stag beetle.
Not having cleaned the ink from the block after my first abortive attempt at printing from it a month or so ago did not help though, I lost a lot of definition, even after trimming.
As usual, yellow is a favorite. Not sure about dark hues of paper for printing, except for monochrome black.
this was a reduction lino print that i did in about 5 to 7 hours. there were three layers. this was for my a level coursework in the study of hair in defferent mediums.

Hand cut and hand printed linocut christmas card.
Nothing says Christmas like the 12 Days of Christmas song. I wanted to incorporate that into the card, but in a modern way. A little unexpected but there is still a partridge inside a pear-tree!

This is a 2 block linoprint with monoprint of the sky in the background. I was going for a romantic feel and I think I was able to pull it off. My art teacher said that I should think about light more in general and I think she's right.
