Back in the Colony Lima city was called "City of the Kings", although the city has their rich and poor neighborhoods as it not as safe as it once was (regardless Shining Path guerilla) it still looks amazing specally up from sky, specially when fog is not around you can even seen St Lorenzo Island in the background

The colonial, and not so colonial.

The "Casa de Aliaga" is the oldest Colonial mansion in Lima, maybe even in whole South America. The house has been owned and lived in by the Aliaga family and their descendants since Franzisco Pizarro granted the land to Jerónimo de Aliaga in 1535. Originally there was a pre-Colombian altar on that plot of land owned by "Curaca Tauli Chusco" (the reign of the Rimac valley).

Peru benefits from some pretty good swell coming across the Pacific from New Zealand so there's some pretty decent surf to be had in Lima. In the winter months you won't find too many people at the beach, but those you do find are there to surf.

Lima, the capital of Peru, lies on the country's arid Pacific coast. Though its colonial center is preserved, it's a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities. It's home to the Museo Larco collection of pre-Columbian art and the Museo de la Nación, tracing the history of Peru’s ancient civilizations. The Plaza de Armas and the 16th-century cathedral are the heart of old Lima Centro.

Peru is a magical destination, abundant with ancient ruins dating back to the Incas.

Peru is the third largest country in South America, after Brazil and Argentina.

There is one thing the photograph must contain, the humanity of the moment.

Taking an image, freezing a moment, reveals how rich reality truly is.

Photography is an austere and blazing poetry of the real.

The best thing about a picture is that it never changes, even when the people in it do.

The most colorful thing in the world is black and white, it contains all colors and at the same time excludes all.
