Light-blading with the Light Painting Brushes 9in Plexiglass Rectangle in Banks Street Reserve, Brisbane. The light source is a cool white (1A) Convoy S2+ connected by LPB Universal Connector. The blade has green cellophane on the far edge, magic tape stripes across the blade, and coarsely sanded edge treatment.

Blue tentacles from a blue gelled Light Painting Brushes (LPB) Plexiglass Circle light blade, connected to a @ryuslightworks modded flashlight (4th brightness level, highest frequency ribbon strobe mode). Green fibre optic trails from a LPB Black Fiber Brush, connected to a Ledlenser P7QC (on green high mode). f/8, 136secs, ISO200. Post processed from RAW exposure in Adobe Lightroom 6.

What you're seeing is a plain four second exposure of windblown fireworks from a stationary camera. I don't understand why each "blade" is angled, does anybody know the reason? Wider version of this shot below. 70-200 @ 135mm, f/16, 4s. Investigate large.

Had a mess with the rainbow blade tonight in conjunction with some camera rotation. Worked on a technique until satisfied then capped the lens and busted out a phisiogram over the top.

Light blading in Banks Street Reserve, Brisbane - using a custom diamond blade, connected to Ledlenser P7QC. The blade edge treatment is coarsely sanded, with strips of magic tape on the blade creating the striped effect. Fill light from Nitecore NU20 CRI headlamp.

Lightblading, taking advantage of the Pulse Width Modulation in the 10lm low mode of the Klarus XT11GT flashlight. The edge of LPB Plexiglass Diamond blade had blue and purple stripes from sharpie pens, masking tape on one side, and purple cellophane on the other. Due to the low output in this mode, a wide aperture and high ISO was required. f/4.8, 5secs, ISO1600. Post processed from RAW exposure in Adobe Lightroom 6.

I went to meet Frodo Alvarez, Children of Darklight when came to Madrid to do a laser graffiti at Puerta del Sol. He lent me some of his tools to do this photograph because I didn't have anything with me except for the camera and tripod.
I took delivery of a large sheet of Perspex today and a quick visit to homebase after work for some plumbing/light painting essentials.
I cut the Perspex into different shapes with a jigsaw and hot glue gunned them into a 22mm plastic pipe connector. This sits snugly into my light painting brushes adapter.
£1.75 strobing fleabay torch in the other end and camera on rotation tool. Span the first circle with the torch gelled light red before changing to yellow for the next two. Shot using a cwb which has turned the yellow into a rich bronze colour which I shall be using in the future.
Raw conversion in LR and jobs a good un.

I've wanted to do this since starting out in camera rotation. Have a subject rotate with the camera in front of the lens. It's a little rough round the edges but a step in the right direction.
The trouble is keeping the subject perfectly in sync with the rotation as even the slightest deviation will stick out like a sore thumb.
Rather than cobbling something together from kitchen utensils I will craft something which should remain stable.
Created using the L.P Brushes Unicorn blade and the Ryus Lightworks torch.
