Using an mbed.org microcontroller with a simple black and green LCD (which I soldered a pin strip to so I could affix to breadboard), this is a simple demo of how you can run 16 character scrolling text.
That was just the first one. I needed to make another. Madness!

So I got LCD's first album about a year ago and just now I decided I like it quite a bit. I think the key to success is to hit up these songs on the first album first:
-Give It Up (fast paced, not too long)
-Losing My Edge (probably my fav song on the album now, great progression)
-Beat Connection (another long song that really finishes)
The rest of the tunes should fall into place after that. I don't have any specific opinion on the new album yet.
I noticed what looked like dithering on my Motorola Droid 3's LCD. Turns out it's just an odd pixel arrangement! They've added a white subpixel, which really spreads out the other subpixels.
It's very noticeable within about 6 inches of the LCD.
