My Tibetan Mastiff Lolha in the River Cray at Five Arches, South East London.

My youngest Tibetan Mastiff, Legend had snuck into the spare bedroom to steal the cat's food.. In response to being shouted at, he got on my bed and looked out of the window, no doubt reflecting on the folly of his actions!!

The light is very dull today but I liked how it captured that guilty glint in his eye.

He looks so sorry now!!

One of my favourite things, other than capturing my boy in action... is letting him off lead. I get about 5 minutes of madness from him!

This isnt a recent photo. It came up on my Facebook memories so I took it through Lightroom again to strengthen contrast and create a mono version. This is my beloved Dodger who I lost suddenly to heart failure three years ago. Here, he was having a moment with my husband and I was there luckily to preserve it.

Dodge was so SO expressive. He is very missed and I treasure this memory.

A Tibetan Mastiff teen in deep thought

One of the most ancient types of dog breed. They rate 5 out of 5 in 'affectionate with family', 'incredibly kid friendly', 'size', and 'drooling potential'. They prefer the comforts of home and presence of family and will try their best to be a lap dog.

This gentle giant belongs to our Daughter and Family.

The Bouvier Des Flanders is a powerful dog originally bred in Belgium and Holland for cattle herding and cart pulling. The movie "A Dog of Flanders" gives an indication of the breed's function. Highly intelligent they are also used as police and military dogs and have the honour of having been condemned to extinction by Adolf Hitler who was bitten by one which was used as a guard dog. European dogs need Schutzhund accreditation before being allowed to enter the show ring. This ensures that the dog remains a true working breed. Today's British show dogs are generally brushed to look like fluffy elephants but this is the more natural tufted look. Working Bouvs are often clipped short or have this "unkempt looking" tufted pattern. This was Ted my best dog ever who passed away many years ago. Truly a gentle giant he was 28.5 inches or 72 cm at the shoulder. He was not show standard but was a perfect pet and companion.

I see I was sucking my waist in for the shot and it looks so obvious.

Legend, my youngest Tibetan Mastiff and his reluctance to come in after it had started to snow. This was his first snow.
