Ooh
Oh oh
I feel, I need, I've got to hold on to your love, ooh
Hey baby, thought you were the one who tried to run away
Ooh, baby, wasn't I the one who made you want to stay?
Please don't bet that you'll ever escape me
Once I get my sights on you
Got a license to kill (to kill)
And you know I'm going straight for your heart
(Got a license to kill)
Got a license to kill (to kill)
Anyone who tries to tear us apart
(Got a license to kill)
License to kill, ooh
Hey baby, think you need a friend to stand here by your side?
Yes, you do (your side)
Ooh, baby, now you can depend on me to make things right (things right)
Please don't bet that you'll ever escape me
Once I get my sights on you
and make it rain. Looks like we'll have rain for a couple more days, as this bluebird has three (at least, along with a larva of some kind) in its beak. It may be raining, but the babes still need feeding.

The church used in the movie "Kill Bill" located in the Mojave Desert at 19809 Street East Avenue G, Lancaster, CA
It was also used in the movies Crossroads and True Confessions.
It is actually called The Sanctuary Adventist Church and before that it was the Calvary Baptist Church.
Kills
Black Dome, Catskills
It is early in the morning, and early in a hike that will take a few hours to complete. It has warmed up a little...not the air itself, just me and my body heat, already cooking with exertion. Crossing the kill, I didn't want to stop, but I knew I had to. In this area of New York, originally settled by the Dutch, a stream or channel is a kill, and so that is the appendage of this brook, the Batavia. My eyes follow the water upstream, against the tide, to a single point where it disappears into mystery. The colder air draws slightly warmer water into vapor, and vapor into ice, and it coats random branches and surfaces. Why some, and not others, is a question too big to answer on a scale this small. It will be hours before the sun hits the water, if at all, in it’s low winter track, and right now only low ambient light from above illuminates the flow as it slaloms the edges of darkness, in a deep crease of forest. I am heading towards nothing but a point on the map, a new mountain for me. The unknown will part like a curtain as I go, revealing itself forever. Every destination is stamped in my head, for better or worse, and if I return to them, it is to run from darkness, instead of towards it. They are points of refuge, escapes to be attempted when the confines of my life kills start to overwhelm. Those kills have edges too, some sharp some rounded and too well-worn, products of too much thinking on those borders of darkness. I move on across, taking a last look up to where the edges intersect into the woods.
A series of images of a giraffe birthing where we spent approximately 3-hours with her from sighting the baby's legs protruding until the baby was able to stand.
Two days later, 3 male lions from the Acacia Pride (we were told that the coalition numbered 6), killed the baby. Not much of a feed to be had there. Mother survived.

Blog: Something About Autumn
Can you feel this loss
Please let these memories just fade
Time will heal the rain
But sometimes it hurts
I want to shine outside your halo
Watch me when I'm falling down
Step aside
Don't ask why
Let me down
Hit the ground
Bet you smile
Deep inside
Michael Nesmith - Laugh Kills Lonesome
www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLyuMjylzGY
All around the campfire
stood seven dusty men
The cook was drinking applejack,
the cattle were all penned
Someone must have cracked a wise one
because the men began to grin
Their smiles shot out like sunbeams
and made the night give in
Because
Laugh kills lonesome every single time
That's why Charlie Russell painted it
And why it looks so fine
Laugh kills lonesome every single time
Roy and Dale and Pecos Bill,
they knew all about this
So did Walt and Hasui,
who gave it their own twist
Sometimes, when things can't get much worse
and life's become a fist
Someone will crack a wise one
and laughter works like this, huh-huh
Laugh kills lonesome every single time
That's why Charlie Russell painted it
And why it looks so fine
Laugh kills lonesome every single time
Laugh kills lonesome
Laugh kills lonesome
Laugh kills lonesome every single time

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
And no Hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there's no country
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no posessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
Or Brotherhood of Man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
And maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one
You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
Maybe someday you will join us
And the world will be as one...

you should have a licence to kill, if you walk with such a dress in front of such a wall. Well she killed me, as I saw her after my lunchbreak...walking there .... :-D
...just kidding, no one was hurt during this photoshot, and i hope she can take a joke ;-)

Gustaf Adolfs torg ("Gustaf Adolf's square") is a town square located in central Gothenburg, Sweden. It was named Stortorget (the Big Square) until 1854 when a statue of the founding father of Gothenburg, king Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden was raised. Surrounding the square are the city hall, the bource, including the law court extension and the main harbour canal of Gothenburg.
Gustav II Adolf (1594–1632) led Sweden to military supremacy during the Thirty Years' War, helping to determine the political as well as the religious balance of power in Europe. His most notable military victory was the Battle of Breitenfeld. He was poised to make himself a major European leader, but was killed at the Battle of Lützen in 1632. Within only a few years of his accession, Sweden had become the largest nation in Europe after Russia and Spain.
With a collection of classic and historic Alcos on the property a trip to the Batten Kill always results in something cool to see. This scene shows from left to right the ex Delaware and Hudson, now Southern New England Railroad RS-36 5015 being restored to its grand D&H paint scheme, Battten Kill RS-3 4116 and the newly restored Alco S-2 D&H 3012 just returning from a day of work along the old D&H Washington Branch.
Just after sunset I saw this mother fox with prey. It was her intention to bring it to her cubs, but they were not around. So she hid it under the bushes. Unfortunately, it was then too dark to see if her young came....
Sunrises confuse me. Panoramas confuse me. With that said, I decided to try and kill 2 birds with one stone and take advantage of a sleepless night.
I've always struggled with insomnia and prefer evening to morning. I'm rarely awake at sunrise, though it's not uncommon for me to fall asleep as it begins. When I do try, I'm normally a little late to arrive and my brain is on sunset by default. It's hard to see things in reverse. I could see the interesting clouds forming from my bed and finally just got up, got my gear together and left without waking the dog.
Panoramas are something I'm just now trying to figure out. Like sunrises, my brain has trouble shooting a panorama in portrait and doing everything at a very awkward angle.
I was the only person at the Hollywood Bowl Overlook when I arrived and I only had about 5 minutes of great sky and light before the haze crept in. This is a 3 shot stitched panorama from the Hollywood sign to the edge of the rising sun.
