I met Joel at the same time I met Billy, a previous stranger added to the project. They both were getting cardboard out of a dumpster around the flower mart downtown. It was a beautiful morning and the sun felt great as we have had a few cold days. Joel has many layers of clothing on and appreciated the suns warmth. I asked Joel where he was from and he said Texas. Not sure what brought him out to LA but he liked it much better. He saw my camera and began to talk about taking pictures, old film and a bunch of slides he stil has. He asked if I knew of a place he could get a slide projector as he metioned he would really like to view his slides of the good times they remind him of. I have to admit, Joel was really a nice guy and seemed to have a good bond with his friend Billy. Stay warm and thanks Joel.
