What would life be like without contrast? To be honest contrast is everything in my opinion. So let's flip the coin. Show me "Mayhem" today. Today's theme was inspired by the chaos and angst I saw in this pulsing shot submitted yesterday by @zalmenv.

WHAT THE HECK IS #JJ?.
.
Are you new to the community? It's not as confusing as it seems at first. :-). Here's the deal.
.
Sometimes it can be hard to get your pictures seen and find inspiring photographers to follow. That's why I created the forum 3 years ago. It's a place to come together for inspiration and encouragement.
.
Every morning, NYC time, we make a post announcing our new theme and tag. Your job is to tag images that fit the theme. You can use shots you have already posted but we really love to see the theme inspire you to find new shots. The @jj_editors and I scour the tag and repost our favorite submissions through out the day. Over half a million people might see your pic! Pretty cool stuff.

We are ALL about keeping things simple, but in the spirit of our motto, "Create to connect", we ask that you follow our only "rule". We call it the 1-2-3 rule. For every 1 image you tag, comment on 2 in the tag and like 3 others.

jj_editor_rosajulia: Yes you are right @xrachx, I ask for him this pics and no answer :( I did it with another photographer this week because I knew that Kevin was going to like his job. Brazilians do not really know the work of #jj, I think if I call, find good photographers will be good for the community. What do you think @xrachx? Is a way to grow, to gain more respect.

@mackelleen asked for a little clarification this morning on the theme. Thought I'd share my response. I'm sure she's not alone.

"Show me uncomfortable disorder. Maybe some of the most powerful shots will especially lean towards the emotional effects of disarray and anarchy. . . Or whatever "Mayhem" means to you. ;-)".

NEW SHOT WHAT???.
.
Think of these "New Shot Nod" posts as a special reward. A daily feature, set aside for those who push themselves to get out and shoot.

The "New Shot Nod" is our way of reminding you that the daily theme can be an assignment, pushing you a little to try something new.
.
The goal is to try set aside one or more features a day for people that have taken the time to use the theme as a creative assignment.
