Well it's official. :-) We are so happy to congratulate @jeddjedd on winning our Open Road Challenge Sweepstakes this year and a new FIAT 500L. One of his submissions was chosen, at random, by @FIATusa. We would be jumping for joy too. ;-) It's really a great car Jed.

And there's more. :-) Jedd will be attending the US Open of Surf with @FIATusa this year. Unfortunately, they've only got space to take Jedd along but. . . YOUR submissions from the challenge might be chosen to be a part of the video, documenting this year's @FIATusa Extreme Team adventure. Not as good as a trip to Cali I know. ;-). Still very cool though. We saw the guys shooting in Seattle. We are all in for a treat.

It's day one of our Open Road Challenge, sponsored by @FIATusa. You've probably heard, Kevin and I are visiting four cities over the next five days. First stop, we're here in Seattle.

I'm so excited to see everyone at tonight's photowalk and kick things off. Last fall's trip was a highlight of my year.

I can't tell you how grateful I am to once again have @FIATusa sponsoring this trip for us. We honestly could not do these trips without their help.

Since we're traveling in conjunction with FIAT's extreme sports tour this year, we'll be focusing on action sports related themes. Today's two themes are for the skate boarders I guess. :-). We're doing Low Angle or Motion.

Today show us something personal. Kristen shared the spot she crashes every night. What about an abstract using the colorful and chaotic pile of clothes? The one you should have washed a week ago. Maybe that special spot on your run by the lake. The one were you sometimes sit a bit, especially if it's a crisp and foggy morning. Bonus points for telling us the story too. Are you new to the community? It's not as confusing as it seems at first. :-). Here's the deal.

Sometimes it can be hard to get your pictures seen and find inspiring photographers to follow. That's why I created the forum 3 years ago. It's a place to come together for inspiration and encouragement.

Every morning, NYC time, we make a post announcing our new theme and tag. Your job is to tag images that fit the theme. You can use shots you have already posted but we really love to see the theme inspire you to find new shots. The @jj_editors and I scour the tag and repost our favorite submissions through out the day. Over half a million people might see your pic! Pretty cool stuff.

We are ALL about keeping things simple, but in the spirit of our motto, "Create to connect", we ask that you follow our only "rule". We call it the 1-2-3 rule. For every 1 image you tag, comment on 2 in the tag and like 3 others.

Hey it's @kevinkuster highlighting for our theme for today.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming – “WOW – What a Ride!” -Anon.

This is a short clip by @joehaggard and he is the MOST courageous person I have yet to meet in out #jj community!

Joe was courageous and adventuresome enough to follow Josh and I as we traveled around on our four city road trip with @fiatusa and documented the entire journey! #fiatorc.

@hueystar inspired our "Landcape" theme today with this submission from a little while back. One of my favorites.

#JJ_INSTATIP - Here's a little tip for today's theme. Pretty simple. Give your HDR feature a try. One of the common problems you can have when you shoot landscape photos is dynamic range. You may find you can't get a good exposure on both the foreground and sky at the same time. HDR is not a magic bullet though. Depending on the situation or your device HDR may or may not work well. Never hurts to try though. :-).

Since we're traveling in conjunction with FIAT's extreme sports tour this year, we'll be focusing on action sports related themes. Today we're doing Low Angle or Motion.

Hi everyone it's @grammy1 with this weeks Family Matters

Josh wants me to coordinate with the theme of the day. Soo hard. Today's theme is crowded. I was inspired by this creative pic found by @jj_editor_cburtonsiller of @cancanancavidan great interpretation of crowded. So let's do a FM interpretation and call it "Kids Interpret Crowded". Interpret anyway you want as long as a child or pet is in the pic. :-) .
