Hi everyone it is @grammy1 posting for Josh. Wow there are some great videos at #JJ_forum_0911. It's hard in the camper without good wifi to do this but I am committed. .

@citomegalovirus you are such a good editor. Great vid. I was attracted to it because I just read the book. I guess all the "professional" IGers like Josh received it as a thank you gift from IG. It features the history of IG and 12 IG photographers from around the world plus "12 ideas to inspire creativity" (all 12 ideas you know from JJ journals) .

I guess the book is not available to the rest of us but

@citomegalovirus video so captures the treasure that it is. .

Now I want you to know not all videos we today choose are going to be as "professional" as @citomegalovirus. That is the joy of IG. You don't have to know a lot and you certainly don't need heavy equipment to take excellent video. Stay tuned. :-)

Are you new to the community? It's not as confusing as it seems at first. :-). Here's the deal.

We've all been there. Especially at first, it can be hard to get your pictures seen and find inspiring photographers to follow. That's why I created the forum 3 years ago. It's a place to come together for inspiration and encouragement.

Every morning, NYC time, we make a post announcing our new theme and tag. Your job is to tag images that fit the theme. You can use shots you have already posted, but we really love to see the theme inspire you to find new shots. The @jj_editors, @kevinkuster and I scour the tag and repost our favorite submissions throughout the day. Over half a million people might see your pic! Pretty cool stuff.

We are ALL about keeping things simple, but in the spirit of our motto, "Create to connect", we ask that you follow our only "rule". We call it the 1-2-3 rule. For every 1 image you tag, comment on 2 in the tag and like 3 others.

The amount of great a varied talent in our community never ceases to amaze me!

A few months back I posted that I was looking for someone in Las Vegas to shoot a video for our @polaroidfotobar project. Although we had several great candidates apply, I eventually hired @iamzachrogers.

Although Zach only began shooting a few year ago, he is a great cinematographer, editor and photographer! If you need some to create something for you or your company I can HIGHLY recommend him.

@iamzachrogers is a great story teller, wonderful shooter, laid back and a great, great collaborator!

WHAT THE HECK IS #JJ?.

Are you new to the community? It's not as confusing as it seems at first. :-). Here's the deal.

Sometimes it can be hard to get your pictures seen and find inspiring photographers to follow. That's why I created the forum 3 years ago. It's a place to come together for inspiration and encouragement.

.

Every morning, NYC time, we make a post announcing our new theme and tag. Your job is to tag images that fit the theme. You can use shots you have already posted but we really love to see the theme inspire you to find new shots. The @jj_editors and I scour the tag and repost our favorite submissions through out the day. Over half a million people might see your pic! Pretty cool stuff.

We are ALL about keeping things simple, but in the spirit of our motto, "Create to connect", we ask that you follow our only "rule". We call it the 1-2-3 rule. For every 1 image you tag, comment on 2 in the tag and like 3 others.

.

Glad you're here. Can't wait to see your shots. Speak up if you have questions or comments. We like to think this is the friendliest place on the internet. :-).
