Jacaranda trees are often used to line streets in Central African cities. The blossoms are an elusive blue, a cross between mauve and perriwinkle, which many say is difficult to catch on film, though in this digital age perhaps things have changed.

Not sure I've got it here but its what I can manage after a busy day.

I love flowers in groups of random castings, as if some browinian motion of the universe caused them to dance together. :-)

I have become the focuser of energies. ;-)

May be one day when she's a little older . A mock up Jacaranda throne with capes , crowns and tiaras to match outside a popular main street cafe . A chance for locals to pretend , to have your photo taken by dad or mum .

One day she just might be crowned a Jacaranda Queen .

Forest Headquarters - A favourite amongst caravan and campervan travellers, Coopernook Forest Rest Area within Coopernook State Forest offers a free stopover and rest area for those seeking respite from highway travel. Halfway between Taree and Kew and just off the Pacific highway, picnic facilities and toilet amenities are available within a peaceful eucalypt forest environment. The camping area is central to the numerous trails/tracks and past logging operations.

In Jan 2014 Coopernook Forest celebrated its 100 years of being named the first NSW State Forest on the 21 January 1914. The Foremen’s cottage was constructed in 1934 and has seen at least 5 Forestry foremen raise their families. The Coopernook & Lansdowne Forest History Group has been undertaking the restoration of the Historic Foremen’s Cottage and Office in the Coopernook Forest. Over 130 years of forestry history and associated families/workers will be researched and displayed by our voluntary group to the community in a museum showcase. The historic Langley Vale Timber Tramway with the remarkable wooden curved timber railway bridge and timber empire of William Langley & Sons will be the centre attraction for the community and visiting travellers.

Easily one of my favorite trees that bloom.

Lisbon, Portugal - May 2009

The species are shrubs to large trees ranging in size from 20 to 30 m (66 to 98 ft) tall. The leaves are bipinnate in most species, pinnate or simple in a few species. The flowers are produced in conspicuous large panicles, each flower with a five-lobed blue to purple-blue corolla; a few species have white flowers.

Week after Jacaranda festival in this rural town in Queensland, Australia.

Having grown up with a jacarandá tree in our patio in Caracas, I have a special place in my heart for this tree. Native to Central and South America, the tree has been planted widely in Africa.

The blue flowers are beautiful against the white sillar of Arequipa.

The Jacaranda trees have started to flower, they look beautiful in all their "purpleness" I just wish our neighbour didn't have one of these trees in the same corner as we have our pool.lol
