Nige consults his trusty oracle in our guest house room before venturing out for the day.
Death, the Tower, the devil...hmm. Surprised we made it home in one piece.
Nige loves tarot cards. He likes to collect rare decks and makes a huge fuss over them...they must be covered by a silk cloth of a certain hue, nobody else must touch them (or even breathe on them!) He loves all the drama of the tarot.
Our joint love of all things magickal was one the things that drew us together and remains an endless source of joint fascination and wonder.
Colorado Springs, CO - Even in winter when things are brown and the colors are dull I still think this a beautiful city.
Character cannot be developed in ease and quite.
Only through experience of trial and suffering
can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired,
and success achieved.

Have a wonderful Friday!! :D
Sara's paleness is very convincing, and I particulary enjoy the enthusiastic expression on Chris's face -- very Jack the Ripper sans a knife.
Pictures taken when we visited a working Ibérico ranch for the first time. The owner Pedro Lancho is a perfectionist when it comes to raising animals. He and his son Jorge work together as a team. The result is a true delicacy - Encinar de Cabazón.
The native pig of the Iberian Peninsula is called the cerdo Ibérico and it has roamed the Peninsula for hundreds and hundreds of years. In earlier times, it was viewed as nothing special; it was just the normal Spanish pig. In more recent times, after the horrendous years of deprivation caused by the Civil War and World War II and its aftermath, Spaniards began to distinguish some of the hams from others by brand names such as Cinco Jotas, Pata Negra and Joselito. On the other hand, they might identify the jamón by the location where it was cured, such as the hams of the former Moorish fortress of Teruel, or the mile high village of Trevélez in the snow-capped Sierra Nevadas of Granada.
The cerdo ibérico comes from an ancient breed quite distinct from the pigs with which you and I are familiar. The sows bear small litters and the young pigs are raised for about two years before being slaughtered. The most highly prized pork comes from Ibérico pigs that feast on acorns from holm oak and cork trees (such as the kind that Ferdinand the Bull used to lounge under). The hams are hung to cure for up to four years, with the consequential loss of perhaps 40% of their weight. The result is a finely marbled ham called Jamón Ibérico de Bellota.

What would you do for a 4 day vacation when both your feet have painful cists on the soles that will require surgery, and it hurts just to stand? Go hiking in the mountains, of course! Here is Cathy after having climbed a particularly difficult (for a first-timer) part of Bear Fence trail in Shanandoah National Park. Her feet made it especially hard because she couldn't put any pressure on the ball of one of her feet. But she insisted, and was quite proud of herself (and rightly so) for making it up this climb.
We really enjoyed the park - it was our first time ever visiting Shanandoah.
At last!!!!!!! :)
Captured in Colombo Airport, Sri Lanka, some time in December.
Thanks for your visit and have a great day!
I go crazy, crazy, baby, I go crazy
You turn it on
Then you're gone
Yeah you drive me
Crazy...
driving home last night, as luck would have it, Aerosmith's "Crazy" was playing on the oldies rock station, (where I park my dial when nothing else seems to work). Yeh, Steven Tyler, just like I pictured him...my last shot in the flickr stream. Back in the Saddle Again. Then I get home and here's a comment from one of my favorite flickr friends, Jewellight8 (check out his photostream--it's like no other). Well, the man sez he's all about the screamin' demon--and I did have a second shot I didn't post--but hey, --won't cost a dime to add to the fun--so here ya go, Jewellight8, a second dose of Steven!
It won’t be entirely wrong if you think that the sphere of smoking pipe is entirely the genre of the people of blue blood. Now a day the scenario has changed altogether as cheap glass pipes nowadays stand as a staggering reality. Read more at www.pipesdaddy.com/

Do you try the local dishes when you are traveling or are you hitting every McD you can find?
I always eat the local food, and I also try some of the more daring stuff, like these bugs here, and they do taste like barbecue snacks or something like it.
They are often fried in some sort of spice that makes up all the flavor. I think that when you are eating things like this, it's more your eyes and mind that "makes" it disgusting then your taste buds.
If you closed your eyes and wasn't aware of what you where fed, I bet you it would be as bad eating them.

-So, I finally got my hands on set 76254 "Baby Rocket's Ship", and managed to incorporate it into a mech body.
The most interesting about this frame is that you can easily detach the ship from the mech waist, and combine it with some other vehicle that has plate underside on the bottom, which most vehicles do.
I really like how simple and effective the build for the original ship is, so I took extra care to alter it as little as possible. you can also just pull out the arms from the axle holes in the body.
One possible modification that you might want to do is raise the "roof" by one plate height, if you want your pilot to have a taller helmet. The hatch is just tall enough to close with a regular minifig and a basic helmet.
I used a skeleton with aqua sharks armor from the 90s, but didn't want to include him in the parts inventory, since you probably have your own custom pilots in mind.
Spotted this soldier beetle sucking the juice out of a low hanging fruit at the wildlife refuge today. I 've started to turn to small little subjects as there isn't much going on in the refuge due to the drought this year.

It’s always a treat to visit hard working local businesses like SomethinSweet4U in Toronto and the people who make it such a success. Thanks for the tour and delicious Filipino food and sweets! The pandemic has been hard on small businesses. Conservatives will continue to stand up for you every step of the way.

It's Christmas vacation for the boys and they take off to chase trains on the BN, now BNSF, Barstow Subdivision. Here we're just across the Rock River from Barstow, Illinois while the train heads to Galesburg. 11 year old Erik is the cameraman for this train.
