The mission of the UAU is to augment the USARC staff during exercises, crisis actions, or a presidential selective reserve call-up. Soldiers of the UAU train regularly in order to provide the most qualified, trained, and prepared Soldiers upon request by Army units.

Maj. Wayne Johnson assumed command of the 53rd Aerial Port Squadron from Lt. Col. Joshua Kovich, following a time-honored change of command ceremony at Pope Field, Jan. 10. 330th Transportation Battalion DRAGON Stakes competition was held on Fort Bragg August 16th and 17th. The competition consisted of two solider team events including land navigation, technical skills, equipment readiness, and marksmanship.

Fort Bragg and Fayetteville Families enjoy the unlimited carnival rides and live entertainment at the Fort Bragg Fair on May 2.

The fair is an annual event that takes place every spring at the Fort Bragg Fairgrounds located on Bragg Boulevard. Gates open at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 1 p.m. on Saturday & Sunday.

The Fort Bragg Fair ends Sunday with a Mother’s Day appreciation day. Mothers are admitted for free when accompanied by a paying child 36 inches or taller to age 17.

 

The Kramden Institute, with the assistance of Lenovo, donated 250 refurbished computers to military Families who don’t have computers in the home, to help kids learn computer skills and connect to the Internet. Lenovo employees explain computer basics to Fort Bragg Family members.
