The Fight Lab 44 MMA match at Sports USA on 7 Feb 15 drew a large audience to watch 10 bouts. A mixture of weight classes were represented in the fights and the night ended with three pro fights.

Fort Bragg Army Ten-Miler Women’s Team returning from a group trail run, Sept. 16. The team is training for the Army-Ten Miler Race next month and plan to take first place like the year prior.

served in various command posts including the 82nd Airborne Division.
His overseas assignments include Germany, the Persian Gulf,
Panama, Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Father Daughter ball held at the Fort Bragg Club June 20 was heavily attended. Fathers in their best suits or dress uniforms escorted their Daughters elegantly dressed in the latest fashions. They danced and mingled while snacking in between on the buffet.

Staff Sgt. Pablo Palacio and Spc. Terri Bluebird, paratroopers assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division are named the winners of the division’s Noncommissioned Officer and Trooper of the Year competition, Feb. 26, at Fort Bragg. The competition tested the troopers’ proficiency in marksmanship, basic warrior tasks, physical fitness and land navigation. The paratroopers will go on to compete at the XVIII Airborne Corps level.

This year’s Air Force Ball was held at Pope Field, Sept. 20. The evening included many fun activities for the participants, making the ball a memorable event.

Soldiers use parts of the 178,000 acres of range and
training areas around Fort Bragg in multiple ways.
Because Fort Bragg is home to America’s first responders,
ranges at the installation are used for various
types of training, including breaching, weapons
and artillery. Range Control will go out of its way to
help Soldiers train to standards that enable them to
remain a ready force. Synchronization meetings are
held each Thursday to discuss current safety trends
and range policies and to schedule training times.
More than 2,000 runners from Fort Bragg and surrounding communities take to the streets for annual 10-mile race, Friday.
Over 600 trees were handed out to troops on Dec. 5 during the "Trees for Troops" event at Smith Lake. Soldiers who were E-6 and below could get a free tree during the giveaway.Cars started lining up three hours before the giveaway started to assure their spot in line.

The rest of the day’s activities comprised of an opportunity to jump from the 34 foot tower at the Advanced Airborne School (where each group member was presented with an honorary paratrooper certificate), lunch at the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 18th Fires Brigade dining facility and hands-on experience at the Virtual Training Facility and Flight Simulator. Dan Leach does roll-out pushups, Nov. 15, in a gym he built in his Fayetteville home. Leach, who served as a Ranger, has transformed his garage into a nearly
600 square-foot gym with fitness equipment that includes gymnastics rings, a balance beam, a rock climbing wall and a weight machine.

The training gave the Paratroopers the opportunity to hone their marksmanship skills while raising overall readiness for a combat environment.

First baby of the year is Rileigh Dunlap. Rileigh Dunlap, who weighed 8 pounds and 11 ounces, and 21 inches was surrounded by her father's family as the group celebrated the new baby girl. She was born at 4:03 a.m. Her big sister, Lexy, picked out her name.
