Happy weekend everyone!
Another version of the Cupid scooter and sidecar taken with Nikki on my photo platform. Thanks again to Nikki for joining me in another of my goofy set ups.
Deep within ourselves, through a rent or tear, an “interior” appears at the heart of beings. This is enough to establish the existence of this interior in some degree or other everywhere forever in nature. Since the stuff of the universe has an internal face at one point in itself, its structure is necessarily bifacial; that is, in every region of time and space, as well, for example, as being granular [material], coextensive with its outside, everything has an inside [spiritual].

Have a nice day everyone! ❤️
Took several pics waiting for birds to pass by- no luck. Waited some more and wow, the clouds against the blue sky put on a show!

Hello, I'm back, and start up with one of the most unusual pics, I've shot. I looked out of the window of the plane, just before we landed in Heathrow, London, when I saw this rainbow, . I was totally fascinated.....(I did slightly increase the saturation and contrast, to make it more visible)....Now I have a question...does anyone know, what the cause of this phenomenon is??? I always believed, we can see rainbows, only from the ground.
I also would like to thank everyone for your visits, comments and support, I really appreciate it.
Have a wonderful week.
I will work on catching up, even though, I'm still a bit in vacation mode:)
I think I just found the right info on Wikipedia.
There also is an image, where it show an airplane right in the middle. I just looked at my image, and think, even though not very clear, there also is a faint shadow of the plane I was in....
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_%28optical_phenomenon%29
Glory
A glory is an optical phenomenon that resembles an iconic saint's halo about the shadow of the observer's head, caused by light of the Sun or (more rarely) the Moon interacting with the tiny water droplets that make up mist or clouds. The glory consists of one or more concentric, successively dimmer rings, each of which is red on the outside and bluish towards the centre. The effect is believed to happen due to classical wave tunneling, when light nearby a droplet tunnels through air inside the droplet and, in the case of a glory, is emitted backwards due to resonance effects.
Depending on circumstances (such as the uniformity of droplet size in the clouds), one or more of the glory's rings can be visible. The angular size of the inner and brightest ring is much smaller than that of a rainbow, about 5° to 20°, depending on the size of the droplets. In the right conditions, a glory and a rainbow can occur simultaneously.[2]
Like a rainbow, a glory is centered on the antisolar (or, in case of the Moon, antilunar) point, which coincides with the shadow of the observer's head. Since this point is by definition diametrically opposed to the Sun's (or Moon's) position in the sky, it always lies below the observer's horizon when the Sun (Moon) is up. In order to see a glory, therefore, the clouds or fog causing it must be located below the observer, in a straight line with the Sun/Moon and the observer's eye. Hence, the glory is commonly observed from a high viewpoint such as a mountain, tall building or from an aircraft. In the latter case, if the plane is flying sufficiently low for its shadow to be visible on the clouds, the glory always surrounds it. This is sometimes called The Glory of the Pilot.

The moon has always been a center point in our relationship. From the first time we were together in world and we danced on the moon, to the times we've snuggled under the moonlight. I love how it's always watching over us.

SUNSET - Ibis flock - in-flight
In The Wild - Florida Everglades
Palm Beach County, Florida USA
Summer 2020 - Sept. 19th, 2020
*[left-double-click for a 'closer-look' at these Ibis-silhouettes]
*[a semi-abundant ibis flock following 'the-big-guy-out-front' just
before dark - moving from south-to-north - to their wild-rookery]
Over the last ten years I have been observing the amazing Ibis flocks that abundantly congregate over the Florida Everglades. Tens-of-thousands of them migrating across 'the expanse' during their mating seasons, and also throughout all of the other Florida seasons, as well. Their incredible numbers seemed to have stayed the same over the years and they are still as visually appealing to me as they were ten years ago. They are always a joy to see floating across the sunset horizon, and I always look for them with the hope of capturing that one 'lifetime image' of them in a somewhat perfect formation. I am still trying...and I still enjoy it. Thanks for looking.

The Pyrenees also spelled Pyrenées Spanish: Pirineos; French: Pyrénées; Catalan: Pirineus; Occitan: Pirenèus; Aragonese: Perinés; Basque: Pirinioak are a range of mountains in southwest Europe that form a natural border between France and Spain. They separate the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of continental Europe, and extend for about 430 km. For the most part, the main crest forms a massive divider between France and Spain, with the tiny country of Andorra sandwiched in between. The Col d'Aubisque above is a mountain pass in the Pyrenees 30km south of Tarbes and Pau in the department of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques in the Aquitaine region of France. The Aubisque is one of those hors catégorie cols that make the legend of the Tour de France.
We were high up in the Pyrenees at the top of the Col d'aubisque even higher at 1,750 m. The weather had been cold, cold enough for snow on the top of the mountains. The white mountain tops are reaching here higher than 2600 meters. The highest peak in the Pyrenees is 3,404 meters high.

Birds of prey are birds that hunt for food primarily on the wing, using their keen senses, especially vision. They are defined as any bird that hunts other animals. Their talons and beaks tend to be relatively large, powerful and adapted for tearing and/or piercing flesh. Large birds of prey have always been persecuted and have only found refuge in the most inaccessible parts of mountain ranges, often at very high altitudes. Although protected for the past twenty years or so, they show no inclination to recolonize the lower altitudes and plains. The Pyrenees were the last refuge in the whole of France for certain species, while offering shelter to birds of prey known in other mountains. It is this wealth of wildlife that the various nature reserves throughout the range -from the national park in the west to eastern reserves- all aim to conserve. In the 1970s, just before birds of prey were placed under legal protection, the situation was critical. Today, most small and medium bird of prey populations have risen to an acceptable level. The larger birds of prey are more sensitive to disturbances of all kinds. The time taken before reaching sexual maturity, the few young born per couple the long breeding period and the numerous failures all serve to slow down reproduction and hinder the renewal of generations. Higher up in the mountains, above the tree line, we enter their territory. This is where you might be lucky enough to spot a Royal Eagle. The eagle is a hunter by nature. In the Alps, they have become expert marmot catchers. Marmots have been successfully introduced into the Pyrenees in several different places. But they have not spread everywhere yet and eagles have to content themselves with smaller prey: squirrels, voles, moles and reptiles appear regularly on their menu. We should always keep one eye on the sky in the hopes of seeing a fleeting silhouette or even the soaring flight of one of these large birds of prey in their own domain. Large Birds of Prey which can be spotted in the Pyrenees are: Peregrine falcon, Royal Eagle, Egyptian Vulture, Griffion Vulture, Beared Vulture -Lammergeier and Golden Eagle.

I was lucky to spot a Beared Vulture -Lammergeier which suddenly cames out from the fog above my head . A Bird of Prey with a wing-span of 3 metres.

Gourette is a winter sports resort in the French Pyrenees. It is located in the commune of Eaux-Bonnes in the département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, on the D918 road which passes through the Col d'Aubisque mountain pass. The closest air access is Pau Pyrénées Airport. In winter, the resort offers one of the largest skiable areas in the Pyrenean chain with 30 marked pistes, and extending between 1,400 and 2,400 meters in altitude, covering about 90 hectares of mostly north-facing slopes. The area also hosts snowboarding and snowshoe trails. In 2005 the region spent over 50 million euros to improve its winter resort facilities, including trails, lifts, accommodation and other infrastructure. In summer, tourists visit the valley of the Gave d'Ossau and its lakes for sightseeing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, and mountaineering, including the ascent of Pic du Midi d'Ossau 2,884 metres. The French GR 10 hiking trail, which covers over 800 km from one end of the Pyrenees to the other, passes through the village.
