Thank you very much for your comments and faves, regretfully, I am finding it increasingly difficult to reply to your comments, because of my very limited time on the internet, due to constant power interruptions in South Africa. I do read and appreciate every one of them! Thanks again!!

European girls with local dancer guy.

This is typical gender ratio on Hawaiian resorts.

Honestly, I was taking photo of sunset before that group appeared.

There's nothing like being interrupted while having a snack of peanuts an sunflower seeds.

I soon got a scolding after this photo was taken..

This red-tailed hawk had a rabbit dinner but wasn't able to enjoy it—chased from one perch by a red-winged blackbird, it flew to a power pole, where it was scolded and harassed by a pair of blue jays, and then a male Bulllock's oriole joined the attack. Even after the hawk flew away with its rabbit, I could hear continued clamor from wherever the hawk had moved to!

Was driving down the road and pulled into a pullout to water the lawn and interrupted a napping fox. She opened her eyes, looked at the photographer and laid her head back down to rest. Took a few photos, moved down the turn out a little bit, watered the lawn and let the fox nap.

Railroading is about interruptions. Not just having a trip full of green signals being interrupted by a 3 hour wait for an opposing train, or a hot box detector tagging the next to last axle, but interruptions to life. It means leaving a cart full of groceries in the isle because the call came. It means having Christmas morning postponed until you get back home because there was freight to move. In this case, it means dinner will have to sit on the floorboard until the next move is completed. Even for a staged photo event, Engineer Bob Saxtan got about 2 bites of supper in before the call came over the radio to relocate the 611 to the next location on the museum grounds during the night photo shoot at Spencer on May 1, 2021. To the staff and volunteers, many who are or were professional railroaders who are no strangers to how interruptions are just a fact of life on the railroad, worked long days and late nights to prepare for and carry out this event. A big hats off to all of those who came early in the morning, stayed well into the night, and rolled with the interruptions to their plans(and to a full night’s sleep!) to ensure all of the challenges that occurred were overcome to realize a great experience for so many.

The grandfather failed to see the sunrise this morning.....

The journey was too long and too hard.

I am usually hostile when interrupted during the twilight hour because every minute counts at this time of the day and I usually have about 20 - 30 minutes of good light to get the shots I want.

So when a pretty young girl turned up with her camera and asked my help in getting the best picture of this view of London from the Hungerford Bridge, I obliged without any hesitation and temporarily abandoned my Panorama.

By the time, I took her through the scene modes of her camera and explained the best approach to get the shot she wanted, the light had changed and my panorama was ruined . . .

I've been back there since April but I never quite got the light I wanted so I am stuck with this one . . .

This is the Embankment Pier, the road behind is the Victoria Embankment and the bridge on the right is the Waterloo Bridge.

Yes, it is close to abuse to cause a cat to even partly open her eyes. She only sleeps 20 hours a day, and there I go interrupting her.
