Osprey are mating, sitting on eggs, fishing and flying in great numbers around the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries.
We interrupt this car show to introduce a new icon ! I couldn't add it to the profile without uploading him, which I intended to do anyways.
Got into a photoshoot with my long time car companion and a clock I fixed. The Rat Fink and company will show up in a month or so.
Looks like some efforts were made to remodel this kitchen as the walls were drywalled and ceiling replaced. However, the remodel was abandoned. Would love to the know the story....
Thanks, cat.
Sometimes the result you didn't anticipate is a bit more interesting than the one you did.
Also, I've been writing about baseball today. Read it here: kiranapoleon.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/baseball-musings/

This is a short and long collection of "female photographs", united to each other from having been taken in some Sicilian streets ....

The image series Pokémon Should've Been On relates to the question of fate and to whether or not it is an acceptable method of understanding a situation. The title refers to a childhood television show that was interrupted by 9/11 coverage.
The images form a pattern of life itself in all its intricacies. Shared experiences undeniably link in a formative narrative of probability. The mind’s understanding of what senses lead to the acceptance of a situational interpretation as truth supports this notion.
The interrogation of the psychology responsible for this in a given situation has the ability to compliment and conflict, each viewer walks away with a different interpretation of what they have perceived.
American Bittern
Botaurus lentiginosus
We found this bittern at Forsythe NWR today (well, someone else found it and pointed it out to me), but it was by far that most sociable bittern I've ever seen. I was able to get within 3' of it and it seemed to little care. I suspect that it's ill or injured but hope it's just relatively used to people. It seemed to be still fishing and eating, so I'm guessing that's a good sign - I hope so.
I have other more 'documentarian' shots, but I wanted to do something a little different when I composed this one.

2046 takes the 708 off the North leg of Fresno wye before organizing a cut of cars left on the South end to be interchanged with UP. About half an hour later, their work would be temporarily halted by UP turning an SD70ACe on the wye.
Interrupted is Habitat Christian Community's [habitatcc.com] series that explores Acts 2, focusing on God interrupting life to make the Gospel known. The "!" was used to show the feeling of action, while the God + Man + Gospel are all components in the nature of God's divine plan. For a bit of background, Habitat is a new church plant that is made up of young adults & young families and when we partner with a church to brand a sermon series, we carry the look through bulletin shells, powerpoint slides, video intros and any pertinent web images...basically anywhere it will be visually communicated.
Goal: To brand the sermon series on Acts 2 in a way that way interesting and didn't scream the obvious - Pentecost, tongues of fire, a street scene in 1st century Jerusalem.
Interrupted was chosen because it was felt to be the best way to describe how God seemingly interrupts lives with the Gospel. The background scenes communicate the places where people in our context usually find themselves, traffic, retail stores, coffee houses and cubicles.
Direction: The strong, bold font offsets the background images of traffic, a big-box interior scene and other "busy" scenes.
Although this is a completed project, just wanted to throw it into the mix in order to get some feedback from other designers and creatives.
I love that warm light at the end of a summer day, although I rarely bother to fetch the camera and photograph anything at that hour; I'm usually content to just look. But I rather liked the way the light bounced around in this corner. It only lasted a few minutes, and I wasted a few of those going for the camera.
The Interrupters played St. Louis April 1, 2019. Lots of super fun photos of their performance and opening bands online at St. Louis Magazine (originally photographed for them): www.stlmag.com/culture/music/photos-the-interrupters-mask...
