Looking at the columns appears clearly one of the typical characters of the local Romanesque: the use of very different coloured (polychrome) stones.
Guardando alcune colonne emerge chiaramente uno dei segni distintivi del Romanico di queste parti: l'uso delle pietre policrome.
This is the piece I made for the April Plushteam challenge organized by Leeanna of Plushgoodness and myself of HibouDesigns.
The challenge was called "The Artful Stitch: Plush Art."
Our members had to make a portrait which would be either:
A) a plush self portrait - or
B) a plush still life
Whichever could be as literal or as fantastical as we'd like. We also had to choose to make the portrait in one of 2 ways:
A) as a 2D framed piece - the frame could be wood, plush... - or
B) as a 3D soft sculpture
We will vote on the best piece of each category but Leeanna's and mine will not enter into the voting rounds.
Check out our Plushteam shop and FB page to see all the entries :)
My piece is hand sewn and needle felted.
Original design by HibouDesigns.

I've always felt that holes in DTs need reinforcement. If you have a lug there you can drill through it. For TIG and fillet frames I like to do something like this, 1/4" tube brazed to the tube fled down close to flush.
So many decisions to be made concening my personal and professional lifethis year. Mr. Retrospect is just waiting to scold me, insisting I made poor choices. On the other hand, Mr. Indecision, who sits on the sidelines playing it safe, reaps no reward. However his indecisions during time for action, often turns out to be some of the worst decisions...ever!
