The condemned council estate in the north east of England called Doxford Park, known locally as Doxy.
This estate is so big its going to take 15 years from beginning to end to knock down and build up again, and they are already 7 years in.
Despite the pictures and the way it looks, this really is a nice place, i love this place, and if i had my way i would stop them knocking this place down and build it back up again just the way it was.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.
I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.
I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.
All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.
I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.
All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.
I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

This is the Whitelees Beam Engine (1842) which is displayed and operated in the former boiler house at Ellenroad. As you can see there are no roof supports showing in this picture, this was one of my first image manipulation pictures, I thought the supports spoilt the view, so I rubbed them out. I think it was about 2002 when I did this.
It was taken with my first digital camera, an Olympus 2020Z.

One of my clone photography experiments. Yay for tripods, timers and digital image manipulation software.
Pimped Picture 64a . Removed colour cast on the skin and removed blemishes the smoothed skin warmed skin tones up with curves, then applied a crop to the image to get rid of wasted space and to pull the eye into the image and then some sharpening work done around the eye area and work done on the cherry including adding additional lighting to make the cherry the main point of contact for the eye then a little burning in work around the edges of the image to give the illussion of a single softbox being used for lighting. This was done as part of flickr group Pimp My Pixels.

You allready met my dear friend... last night we had "munchies" and decided that we need to go for some food... tennis racquet was an option...
I needed to have a good photo of me for an Image Manipulation project, so I went out on our apartment's balcony today to try and take one that I liked. (We're going to be turning ourselves into part animal using Photoshop.)
I like different things about each photo, but none really stand out to me that would be good to manipulate.
small, but fleeting and thorny fragrant beauty, climbs the fence around the lake... possibly the Dog Rose, and since I've seen pinkish buds on this plant of white flowers.. so it could also be Rose Multiflora?
As for the others with similar title a experiment to merge cartoon and photos done to partecipate to the Photo-Editor week on gimptalk
Virtually no image manipulation. Only some sharpness, clarity, and vibrancy using Aperture 3.

I wanted to create a book cover for Alexander Calder's work with a few photos I took while in Chicago.
Let me know what you think.

My cousin, Frank, has auditioned for a part in a film, and asked me to do some headshots specific to his ideas of the character to take with him to the audition. This is an unusual practice, as the casting folk usually just want a straight Non-character photo, but Frank feels this might give him an edge.
While editing the take, one of the out takes showed some subject motion when he moved during a bracket. I like the effect, as I was already going for an 'old world' feel to suit the character. Here, I have 'aged' it in Photoshop.

Located on Chicago's far south side, the Historic Pullman District was the first planned industrial town in America. It's a unique slice of the past only a short drive from downtown Chicago.

This is not actual photograph... created with computer.
this is a little different from the classic "rind" effect because only a single strand or ribbon is used.
(to see an earlier version of this but with "real world" background, click here - the intertwining style on the ribbon is different)
