The International Finance Centre (abbr. IFC, branded as "ifc") is an integrated commercial development on the waterfront of Hong Kong's Central District. A prominent landmark on Hong Kong Island, IFC consists of two skyscrapers, the IFC Mall, and the 55-story Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong. In the movie, The Dark Knight, a scene in Hong Kong depicts Batman leaping off the top of ifc 2 and gliding onto the roof of ifc 1, where an action scene then takes place.

I toured Hong Kong Island with the Big Bus Tours. A great way to hop on, off, cross the harbour, tour the harbour, take a sanpan ride and much more.
The island is made up of enormously high buildings accross 45 square miles. It has pockets of history everywhere. To get everyone to fit, they all live in high rises.
It makes travelling fairly easy and quick.
I took many random photos of the buildings. I have no idea what they are but they made an impression on me. I also discovered just how wide 24 mm on my lens was as the perspective of buildings was interesting, they were all leaning into the pictures.
Hong Kong Island is an island in the southern part of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (China SAR).
Its population density is approx 16,390/km. Hong Kong island became a colony of the British empire when in 1839-1842 it defeated the Chinese in the First Opium War. In 1842 the island was formally ceded in perpetuity to the UK under the Treaty of Nanking and the City of Victoria was then established on the island by the British Force in honour of Queen Victoria. The island was returned to China in 1997 under the 1984 Sino-British Joint Declaration.
The northern coast of the island forms the southern shore of the Victoria Harbour, which is largely responsible for the development of Hong Kong due to its deep waters favoured by large trade ships.
The island is often referred to locally as "Hong Kong side" or "Island side". 88.5% of Hong Kong Island's residents are of Chinese descent.
