Dupont State Forest and Hooker Falls was my first stop on Saturday. I was hoping for just a cloudy day...but geez it was raining steadily the whole time at this stop. Many of the maple leaves had already fallen, but there was still enough yellows and reds for my liking.
Hooker Lake at the foot of Aoraki/Mt. Cook, New Zealand, with some floating icebergs. It was quite windy and the cloud formations were quickly changing, but unfortunately the view to the very top of Mt Cook kept obstructed at sunset. In return the colors in the clouds were amazing.
Thanks for taking the time to take a look at my pictures. Your views, comments, faves and support are greatly appreciated ツ
Icebergs on the terminal lake of the Hooker Glacier, Mount Cook National Park. When I visited this area in the late 1970's, the glacier extended around 1500 m further down the valley from its current position, and the location where this taken would have been under ice - a sad reflection of global warming!
Hooker Falls was beautiful yesterday morning. It's located in the DuPont State Forest between Hendersonville and Brevard, North Carolina.

Hooker With A Penis
I met a boy wearing Vans, 501s, and a
Dope Beastie t, nipple rings,
New tattoos that claimed that he
Was OGT,
back From '92,
on the first EP.
And in between
Sips of Coke
He told me that
He thought
We were sellin' out,
Layin' down,
Suckin' up
To the man.
Well now I've got some
A-dvice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,
And if I'm the man,
Then you're the man, and
He's the man as well so you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.
All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever even heard my name.
I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.
I've got some
Advice for you, little buddy.
Before you point your finger
You should know that
I'm the man,
If I'm the fuckin' man
Then you're the fuckin' man as well
So you can
Point that fuckin' finger up your ass.
All you know about me is what I've sold you,
Dumb fuck.
I sold out long before you ever heard my name.
I sold my soul to make a record,
Dip shit,
And you bought one.
All you read and
Wear or see and
Hear on TV
Is a product
Begging for your
Fatass dirty
Dollar
Shut up and
Buy my new record
Send more money
Fuck you, buddy.

Not a bad looking woman at all. I can't believe what Gov. Spitzer was doing, lol! What the hell was he thinking? She is going to now get filthy rich without having to whore for it any more.
*Lol, that might not have come across as I meant it but you know what I mean.
:)))))
Another New Zealand shot... this is Hooker Valley... near the town of Glentanner and just at the base of Mt. Cook..... taken with my 35mm Canon Rebel.

An early morning run brought me to Lake Hooker with Mt Cook, New Zealand's highest mountain, in the background. Breath taking beauty in the very heart of alpine New Zealand. What an amazing country I'm lucky to live in.
Tasman Lake on the right; Tasman River left to right; confluence of the Hooker and Tasman Rivers at centre; Mt Blackburn dead centre; Mt Cook airport middle left. Icebergs are just visible in Tasman Lake. A bit more detail is apparent when viewed original size.
The Tasman Glacier is retreating fast - the first time I visited back in the 1980's there was no lake, now the lake stretches back more than 7 km.
Another stitch I'd forgotten to process.
This was taken off-track above the Red Tarns.
