Laundry makes my skin itch. Vacuuming makes my eyes water. Dishwashing makes me sneeze. No doubt about it--I'm allergic to housework.
This is a Suzy Homemaker fridge from the 1960s. It will be in "Object Project," which opens next summer. Suzy Homemaker toys helped girls practice homemaking skills, an idea that was often questioned with the rise of the women's movement. This is looking toward the front door of the house, with a second dining area on the left. I love that sconce and lounger! The furnishings were supplied by Cullimore's Home Furnishings, which remained in business on NW 23rd Street in OKC until the 60's.

Who says no one up-cycled in the '60s? These reindeer look like they should be on display at Pier 1 or Cost Plus. They are almost big enough to pull a sleigh, too.
