Pierre Navarre, a fur trader, was the first white settler in what is now South Bend, Indiana. His restored cabin is on display in Leeper Park, and is the target of knuckleheads who break the windows and deface the building with graffiti (not shown here--I wouldn't give them the satisfaction).

This is the first book I've done that incorporates leather hinges. The leather is sewn into the end-sheets, producing a very strong book. This is probably the strongest binding I've produced to date.

The weathered wood and a rusty hinge have seen many harsh winters in the mountains of Wyoming.

A wonderful hinge on the door at Thiron-Gardais abbey - really beautifully made, even though, in the nature of things, relatively few people would ever see it (if the door was closed) or notice it.
