Anyone who is a mosquito magnet learns to love dragonflies, and in this case, spiders. Even if they're not active in the web, if it'll catch the damn pests, I'm happy.
This little guy, a fan tail, flies right around you. Not to say hello or harm but taking advantage of the flies that are attracted to you. They call out and more join in.

On our circuitous route home, we happened to notice some helpful individual had been painting advice on the road.
Most instances were simple tips like, "bump ahead!" or "gravel road 0.2 miles". Twice, though, we came across the words "rest stop."
You've gotta be curious, right? Both times we chose to stop, and both times we encountered lovely waterfalls.
