Taken at the Classic Car Show in Windsor on 4th August 2013 using a Nikon V1 with 10mm lens.

Fancy Corvette headlamps. What a wonder those small lights puts out quite a light. Wish the glare could be reduced, though.

The park warden coming to lock me in the park. Of course I didn't actually realise and kept snapping away happily, oblivious to the fact that I'd have to climb over the gate to get out.

A photoshoot with a beetle at night. Additional light was my Petzl headlamp.

My morbid fetish with farming machine continues....

I saw this car headlamp in the museum and it reminded me of the 'Martians' in the film "War of the Worlds", hence the title. I changed its colour to a more suitable 'alien' colour and desaturated the background.

Note that the low beam filament is burnt out.

It is hard to build things made of all black plastic and all black screws in a house with less than stellar lighting at midnight.

 

Just so you know. You know, in case you ever want to try.

 

This headlamp was awesome, until my hair shifted underneath the band in the back, and the lamp popped down and smashed the bridge of my nose. That was really wonderful.

Here's the finished bottom part of the headlamp bucket, painted with Eastwood's Chassis Black.

 

Headlamps were so badly damaged, after repairing I decided that black was the only option.

Our rec room, where she usually reads, hadn't warmed up yet. Our living room doesn't have good lighting--so Mona improvised..
