This is the road over the pass. Most of the traffic these days goes under in the San Bernardino road tunnel which opened in 1967.
Top Gear went through here in search for the ultimate driving road in series 10. About 5:20 in this video they get close to the San Bernardino Pass

I've taken many photos of this tree over the past years. It's one of my favourites at Daan Viljoen Game Park. A very tall camel thorn tree, one can see it for miles...
Have a great weekend, everyone!
HDR of 7 images
I thought after 6 years I could do it much better. But without the RAW files it turned out to be not an easy task. Result is different and I like it more.

I saw this boat and a bench next to each other at a beach yesterday. I guess the owner must have left it for the night. It looks like the boat has yet to receive the final painting job.
Shot 5 different exposures. As usual generated HDR using photomatix and modified with photoshop. Adjusted the brightness/contrast and added a bi-colour filter.
Happy Wednesday to you all!! :D
This monument was built two years ago. It represents our sultan who was 60 years of age in 2006. The numbers used here is from arabic numberals.
I was in the old bandar area when my husband and I spotted this. I took quite a number of shots, this one was taken during sunset.
I made a different treatment with this one. HDR generated with Photomatix. In Photoshop, adjusted the colour curve and made the final look with Fractalius.
Please take a moment and click on the image to see it large on a black background. It really looks nicer that way and thank you in advance for looking at my work and for any comments, critiques and favorites. :)
And please don't use my images without my consent.

Three bracketed photos were taken with a handheld Nikon D7200 and combined with Photomatix Pro to create this HDR image. Additional adjustments were made in Photoshop CS6.

I once got terribly lost on a hike at Daan Viljoen Game Park. I had missed this vital sign: Hiking Trails End. (Don't ask me why) I turned right instead of left…I went back a couple of weeks later to take a photo of the spot where I had made my mistake. :-)

Happy Green Thursday everyone... :-)
As I was asked a few questions about "merging two images" after yesterday's post I looked through YouTube and found a clear and concise Photoshop tutorial on Layer Masks. "Layer masks" are a great skill for digital photographers, used by HDR addicts and landscape lovers but the technique is also useful elsewhere, B&W colour popping, merging DOF etc. bloh blah blah :-)))
But on to today's image, no Photoshop tomfoolery here, shot, cropped, posted, done ;-) I'm still trying to capture the essence of a tulip, it's not easy ;-)
Have a great day everyone.
