These gentlemen have a lot of my respect.
They aren't often well-paid besides using traditional construction methods which are physically very demanding on the body.

I believe the pair produced three youngsters last year. The three may be supporting the adults in building this year's nest. The two extras seen in the tree a few days ago are a mystery. At least three birds were ferrying materials to and fro this evening.

The children at the villages enroute to Tonle Sap are probably the most special children I have ever met in my life. Unbelievably and infinitely happy when playing, even though they do not have many material comforts... And extremely responsible and hard working too. So engrossed in her work that she hardly noticed me. I squatted in front of her and waited for her to take notice of me. And when she did, I got this expression of surprise and amusement, not sure what would've gone through her mind. To me, this photograph is priceless. A nameless face. Amongst the hundreds that I met that day. And I hope that one day soon, I can give something back to them. These kids are special. Very very very special.
