Harambe, also known as the Port of Harambe, is the fictitious city which serves as the setting for the themed "land", Africa of Disney's Animal Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.
So, I'm thinking to myself, Harambe and Rembrandt both went to Heaven, right?
So, What would that look like?
Not Harambe. This is a Silverback at the Pittsburgh Zoo. With all the chatter in the news, I decided to go through my images of this wonderful beast.
The Legend, The Myth, Harambe! in lego form... soon to be the dankest meme...
If you ask me, i think it was a inside job and that the boy was planted on him, Because little did the world know but i used to be in the FBI and Harambe and me would uncover cases of exorcism and alien abduction, We soon found that that the higher ups didnt want us finding out the cases and kicked us off the FBI...years later I went under the name Fudge McFudgerson and he went under harambe. Now that they have killed him I believe that they are after me, I will try to live out the days of my life making the dankest customs...
Until they come.
Yesterday, I went to the Cincinnati Zoo for the 1st time since Harambe's Death. I went to his enclosure, and his group was out, which was Him and 2 females. Now just 2 females. I notice that they seemed very quiet and keeping to themselves. I caught this image of one of females. Is it just me, or does it not look as if she is grieving?
Titled. "Missing Harambe".

"The Ballad of Harambe" by c a n d i d!
Roses are red, violets are blue
My dear Harambe, how we miss you
Towering buildings, both Romantically Old and Brazenly New, come crashing into this intersection in front of the Park Plaza like a train wreck of human bodies that ensues when that one idiot stops at the top of the escalator as soon as they 'dismount' ... looking around for orientation.
Here the central 'core' of Manhattan abruptly stops for the gigantic and Elysian imperative of Central Park - the massive necessity that enables the Big Apple to breathe in every possible capacity.

Music Link: Jon Hassell - "Harambe", from his album, "City: Works of Fiction". On this incredible album Hassell imagined fictional scenarios in various cities around the world and drew upon his unique blend of Jazz, Electronica, Third World music and a deep involvement in Digital Culture to create powerful pieces that reflect the beauty, power, danger, chaos and wonder of big cities. It seemed fitting, then, to apply his work to my New York images.

On an extremely warm August day, a passing thought, an appreciation of the workers that endure the long hours and the massive amount of demanding tourists at Disney's theme parks. The summer's heat, a true test of their endurance.
This image from Harambe Fruit Market, Animal Kingdom.
Meet Gladys, this is Harambe's half sister. Gladys came to the Cincinnati Zoo 3 years ago, after being rejected by her mother. She started her life among humans just like her half brother Harambe. She is also one of my favorites to photograph. She is often referred to as the little, "Diva". Just like her half brother, Harambe, she seems to make eye contact with my lens more than the other Gorillas. Could it be their early contact with humans? I do not know. I do know, that she will always steal the show. This image is her in thought.
I titled, "What should I do Next?".
"I'm not a monkey, I'm a scientist!"
Everything is procreate.
You don't give af you're here to make a Harambe joke two months too late.
I'm not sure what animal(s) are supposed to be here other than the bird in the background but I liked the color of the water so I decided to take a shot.
If you look closely, you can see some other safari vehicles in front of us.
Taken at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Florida (I'm adding this since apparently it's so convincing, some of you have thought it's actually Africa).

Harambe (May 27, 1999 – May 28, 2016) was a western lowland gorilla who lived at the Cincinnati Zoo. On May 28, 2016, a three-year-old boy visiting the zoo climbed under a fence into an outdoor gorilla enclosure where he was violently grabbed and dragged by Harambe. Fearing for the boy's life, a zoo worker shot and killed Harambe. The incident was recorded on video and received broad international coverage and commentary, including controversy over the choice to use lethal force. A number of primatologists and conservationists wrote later that the zoo had no other choice under the circumstances, and that it highlighted the danger of zoo animals near humans and the need for better standards of care.
Harambe became the subject of internet memes, songs, a video game, a statue, and other tributes and recognitions.

First and foremost, happy birthday to Disney's Animal Kingdom. Secondly, if you ever get the chance to enjoy a late close at Animal Kingdom, do it. Start at the back, and let yourself get swept forward in the close. It is magnificent when it is empty.
As of now, it's a rare occurence to get these fantastic night shots in Animal Kingdom, but thankfully it will become more common with Pandora coming. This park is truly magnificent at night. Some paths are probably a tad dark and will need brightening up, but most areas are truly stunning. Really looking forward to this being a daily possibility.
Thanks for looking!

This is an Image of Harambe that I have never shared till now.
Since the Star Wars films continue to live on, I thought so should Harambe!
Titled, "Harambe, the Force is strong with this one".
Disney Animal Kingdom tip -- Go early and head straight to the Kilimanjaro Safaris to explore the Harambe Wildlife Reserve (110 acres of picturesque open plains, shady forest landscapes and rocky wetlands resembling the African savanna that features 34 different species living and roaming free). WHY? -- because early in morning when it is cooler, the animals are more active and offer better opportunities for seeing them up & about instead of napping in the distance or behind a rock. Example -- this African Lion was up roaming around and offered this great profile photograph opportunity.
