Grottaferrata at ad Decimum, beginning of the 2nd Century AD.

 

The sepulchral slab id dedicated to Titus Salvius Rufinus Minucius Opimianus and his wife by their son. The deceased, probably "Tuscolan" originated, and the founder of an equestrian class family that entered into the higher social classes. Only one post is recorded of his, probably the highest attained, as Procurator of the province of Asia, of ducenarius rank with a salary of 200,000 sestertii. His son, with the same name got to the highest senatorial appointment, as Consul Suffectus (substitute) in AD 123 and then beame Proconsul of Africa in 139. The grandson, who had the same name as his father and grandfather, was a Consul Suffectus in AD 155.
