Over the holidays, I made myself a hat using bulky yarn - I needed some instant gratification and a pattern that didn’t require too much concentration. After I finished it, my son and my Dad asked if they could have an ear flap hat, too. Just finished these up.
Pattern: Fiber Trends Snowboarder Hats for Everyone.
Needles: Size 15 circs and dpns
Yarn: Green hat (mine): Misti Alpaca Hand Paint Super Chunky in Orchard, 2 skeins

I loved the detail on the pit, and the subject matter seems touching...kind of delicate. But the bird is weak, in my opinion.

Couldn't resist this sky. Taken 15 minutes ago as the sun belly flopped into the western abyss. Like the ad.....GO LARGE....instant gratification but leaves you slightly nauseous after a while...
..and after uncountable sleepless nights she finally made it!
Linda Widiyanti S.Sos sekarang namanya. Berat euy.. :D

Judul skripsi Linda:
Apa argumentasi Anda?'
Linda dengan mantap menjawab:
'Saya rasa metode saya berbeda dg apa yg digunakan rating televisi.
'Saya rasa kurang tepat, Linda.'
ups..!
Linda & semua suporternya menahan senyum demi mendengar jawaban si penguji. Oke deh, pak. :p
It amuses me to see these signs for adult stores along the highway, often in the middle of nowhere (or so it seems). With the internet, it seems that such places would be a losing proposition. I can't imagine working there would be a joy, either. But, they must get enough business to stay in operation.
I had some yarn leftover from making my blanket, so I turned it into a matching cushion. Almost instant gratification! Anyway, what's another 50 squares after you've already made 400? ;-)
Teach your child the ability to delay gratification. Instead of purchasing something for them right away, have them save for it and track progress using a a savings goal in FamZoo.

it was the best christmas present in july. it's taken me a month to get film and developed...not like the digital instant gratification.
I decided to make the most of the trip into Portland today, and connected up with a Craig's List user for this fantastic little Polaroid goodie... and then began the hunt for film! There's nothing like the excitement of instant in-hand results!
"The human mind is not a computer with truth as its base. It is merely a collection of ganglia moved by electrical impulses. Truth is not its basis, but rather ego gratification. Truth to the human mind is a shifting thing, a sail billowing on the wind
of fear and hope and desire. It has no reality, but rather creates it from moment to moment with that same creative intelligence that you value so highly in us...
"The human mind is painfully mortal. That particular truth in itself is more than most humans can tolerate. We are frail creatures, seeking permanence in an impermanent world. We lie to those around us. We lie to ourselves. We lie in the face of all logic and all reason. We lie because, quite often, the truth would destroy us. We lie without even knowing it."

I liked the idea behind this indie magazine when I heard about it around Christmas. First issue arrived a week or two ago: I review it here.
(incidentally, low light and tiredness make terrible photos)
