More specifically it's based off of phase two 2-D, and even more specifically its based on how he looked in the Feel Good Inc. music video. Anyways the hair was really fun to make but about 20% of the original sculpt broke and that was a PAIN to fix with my two part clay. I added some dry brush detail on the hair which I haven't really done before. there's really nothing more of note.
Also if you don't know what Gorillaz is, it's a "fictional band" made up of fictional characters with an entire plot line and stuff.

this characters name is rumored to be ace, he also resembles the character ace from the green gang in the powerpuff girls!
it wouldnt be surprising if it was the same character due tothere being lots of powerpuff girls easter eggs in gorillaz (for some odd reason) such as mojo jo jo being on one of 2Ds tops, also gorillaz easter eggs in powerpuff girls too!
i havnt just came up with this theory, its a popular one!
