I have a soft spot for this trail, It very accessible, not crowded, as close as legal singletrail on the Headlands as you can get and I actually have volunteered to worked on the trail (This bridge and others on the same trail) The top part of Old Springs trail has a number of wooden bridges, I think this is one of the trails that has seen the most work since the early 90's

I went back to the web this morning and I saw the spider! I took my old camera because of the zoom. This isn't the the best photo, but this was a close as I could get, and I had to hold the camera over my head to get a view down into the funnel. I wasn't so much scared of the spider, as of what else may have been in the woods!

Trivia nights is something I truly enjoy, for aside that I get to learn from the awesome trivia line-up, I could be able to gauge as well myself with the stock knowledge that I have. North Star Roller Girls league action on December 5, 2009, at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, MN.
The Violent Femmes took on Delta Delta Di, and the Banger Sisters went up against the Kilmore Girls. Action was fast and furious, and people had a great time. The crowd was 1,535. :-)
Usually I don't whine but I just gotta say this. Probably my greatest unheralded feat as a photographer for NSRG is making it look like there's actually decent light in the Minneapolis Convention Center. There isn't. A few anemic top lights are all we get, and the bounce off the floor is next to nil. So these photos are almost all shot at ISO 6400 with a fill flash and fast lenses open to f2.8. And they all took a week or more in Lightroom to get in decent shape. What I wouldn't give for a venue with proper lighting! :-P
We went for a quick visit to Eldon earlier, and then on to Taddington Mere, but again too windy to get and decent photos of little critters.
The paint description leaves something to be desired but the ride quality just makes me want to get and ride.... more.

C- The composition utilizes simplicity.
I- It is an interesting photo.
T- This photo was taken using a low aperture to capture the kids in focus but blur out the background.
My goal with this shot was to capture a shot of the two gets and show a sense of their relationship and character. I think this shot does that well because I was able to get them together and smiling, as well as the little hug. The shade eliminated any harsh lighting, but there is still a small amount of light reflected in their eyes.

I adjusted the color balance in photoshop to make their skin tone look more natural, as well as Scott Kelby's 3 step portrait finishing technique.

Usually I think it is just so boring around where I live but then decided I would walk from my home to the end of the main road (about a kilometer or two) and see what i would get, and there was plenty.... I take back my words... just all kinds of things to see, and people to meet...
What I love about matte powders and paints aside from their ability to hide use and wear is that there is literally no place to hide when it comes to fabrication defects. Any lump, any uneven weld bead or wart shows up if you know what you're looking at. What you see is literally what you get and flat paints and powders really put the builders work on full display (gloss tends to hide a lot of sloppy workmanship).

This is a quick mockup for my bead show this upcoming weekend. My dining room table is 5.5 feet instead of 8 feet and it's a bit deeper than the table I will actually get, so it's not an entirely accurate representation.
So imagine this with 2.5 more feet on either side and without the ten inches or so in front. Things will be spread out a bit more, the red bowl will be filled with candy (what type should I get?), and it will be about 10 inches taller. My banner will be a little less droopy too.

It’s an English gown from the 13th century, of best British wool over fake sleeves made of French silk.
Because of the constant wars with France, silk became hard to get and the sleeves went only half-way up the arm. This made it possible to cut the worn sleeve ends off and lower the inner sleeve - thus prolonging it’s usefulness.
