Second in the series of stacked patio chairs from Lowe's, this time in yellow

I'm getting down to the very last of my postable images from my trip to Iceland, including some of the abstracts I shot. These are stacked chairs at a restaurant in Grindavik, Iceland, which is across the street from a museum dedicated to salt cod. (That's very important in Iceland.)

I drove by this parking structure and something about it made me want to stop and get a picture. The artificial light inside the garage is color-shifted to the yellow but I did not correct it. I liked the golden glow it gave the image.

I had my tripod with me but the security car kept driving by, so this was hand-held (half a second!) with available light just after sundown.

This is another instance where I did not color correct the image because I liked the warm glow from the artificial light.

A corner of the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. I did not go inside because my meeting was so busy that I was not free until 7:30 or 8:00 each night. However, there is an article about this modern wing of the museum here.

Second in a series of mirrored-image views of a building in the Jewelry District in downtown Los Angeles

You can also see a cropped view of the building before it was processed as a mirrored image.

Radiator grill at the Reykjavik Museum of Photography.

This is another image from a set of urban abstracts I posted six months ago. This is a blue-green fence in front of a corrugated orange wall of a self-storage facility in Pasadena. The previous shot had focused on the fence. This one was aimed at the orange wall behind it.

This is a decorative concrete and aggregate screen that fronts a medical building on Central Avenue in Glendale. I stuck my camera through one of the holes and shot this from the space in between the screen and the building.

This was taken in April at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. This is a close crop of the underside of the escalators.

Color-enhanced detail of the roof at the The Pearl, the multipurpose museum and restaurant

Somewhere behind that curved wall is one of four huge water storage tanks for the city of Reykjavik.

In this case my subject was the reflections. The building reflected in the escalators is the California Bank & Trust Building across the street. I like the way it's broken up into Mondrian-like colored shapes.

Broken Window Prints

This is the minimalist-modern ceiling of a very ordinary fast food restaurant in Glendale. I'd love to hear how such a pedestrian shop came to have such modernistic architecture.

This looks like staring into a fiery pit, but actually, it a cropped, flipped view of a ceiling at the The Pearl (Perlan) in Reykjavik, Iceland from my July 2009 trip.

This image is another variation on the same picture and includes the uncropped and unprocessed original scene.

Another bit of architectural whimsy from the 1960s or thereabouts. This screen of open-square clay tiles fronts a building on Los Feliz Blvd., about a block away from the Glendale/L.A. city limits.

I posted another similar masonry screen the other day. They're both somewhat interesting in the abstract.

A selection of design elements for the CD pack for my experimental animation project. Project was based on the idea of spending a lot of time and effort on designs that look effortlessly cool and simple. Animation part proved challenging, but I loved the end result. Packaging complemented digital content with it's simple, lightweight, dynamic designs and interesting fold method.

Beautiful solid colors (olive, orange, blue, red) cut from matboard around black paths that suggest London's Kensington Gardens.
